I just voted and you are essentially even up. Good job night shift.

It will be interesting to see if and when he activates the bots today and tomorrow. Good luck!

J&L are correct. Texas has had an open season on Sandhills for years. The cranes migrate to Wisconsin, and other mid-west states, to lay eggs and raise their young. We feed them all spring and summer, then they fly back to Texas where they are harvested by hunters there. It’s about time that hunters in Wisconsin get a chance at these overgrown turkeys. I for one am looking forward to putting crane on the Thanksgiving table.

I hear they taste like chicken.

I’m not even going to look at the page any more except to vote. It just torks me off.

I have to say, Rick, that I give you credit for sticking with it.

It was fun to watch for a while, and we still vote every day and post it to our FB.

But the cheating is so blatant that it really disgusts me. You deserve to win on sheer principal and if you don’t I can’t look at this supposedly good natured contest with any respect.

Hopefully the organizers can smell a rat and make changes next year to avoid the blatant ballot box stuffing.

300 net vote loss yesterday to start the day with a slim 100 point lead.

What’s the plan, Rick? Inquiring minds want an update…

Hopefully the mayor can secure enough votes to hold ground through the weekend. I would have to think that there will be some gain from the paper ballots.

    Down by 400, so that’s a 650 vote swing in 3 hours.

    I call shenanigans!

It looks like the net loss is again about 150 votes over 24 hours…up over 650 on Tuesday, 550 yesterday, 400 today.

Well that was fast…even Steven at 6:28 with 1or 2 new votes for steeler coming in as fast as I can refresh the page. Hey, I’m sure he has a person voting every second, right?

The new round of vote bots are out and it’s less than 100…at this rate, even Steven by 7pm.

Checked at a little before 2:00 and Steele had 22,621. A little less than 2 hours later and he’s at 22,970. 350 votes in less than 2 hours. In the same time the mayor went from 23,211 to 23,276 🙄

30 minutes later and Steeler has added 4 more votes.

The pattern would seem to imply that he has about 350 votes that get entered en masse.

Your current lead is about 550 and has been there steadily since 4 am this morning. It will be interesting to watch what happens after 4pm…the new “witching hour.”

I normally don’t get all excited about this type of stuff, but something smells in Pennsylvania, and it ain’t just Pittsburgh…and I don’t like it. Play fair or don’t play.

First let me say that I am encouraged by the fact that the bomb squad was not called for this cache. Which either means we are making progress, common sense prevailed, or perhaps that Beaver Dam simply does not own a fancy bomb detonating robot it likes to practice using.

Anyhoo, I was trying to recall the types of hides that have gotten police calls on as reported here over the past several years. I can remember hides near schools, hides in parks, and hides in road signs. I cannot recall reports of calls on boxes in the woods, but I could be wrong. (well, there was a safe that peach found, but that’s a whole ‘nuther topic.)

Obviously not every hide can be made in the woods. But, with road signs .1 miles apart considered prime real estate for many new cache listings, it just might be worth thinking about how it does look to the general public for a car to pull over to the side of the road to release a gaggle of people holding little devices, getting up close and personal with various objects in the public right of way.
