so now I’ve gone back in to look at my logs and the NM log is gone completely. The cacher must have deleted it? So now my lonely PM looks like I’m the idiot for doing so…. ugh. live and learn…..
Don’t sweat it. Nobody else thinks anything of it, and I mean that in a positive way. Or if really bugs you just delete your own OM log!
On the Left Side of the Road...We have a cache that’s somewhat tough to find and tends to “migrate” a bit depeding upon where finders replace it. (I know, put caches back where you found them, but that’s another story…) Anyway, it’s gotten 3 NM or SBA logs since May, including by previous finders who felt compelled to take a return visit out there to look for it and couldn’t find it where they found it. Every time we’ve gone out and checked on it, it’s been there.
Here’s one from my watchlist that just happened to show up in my inbox: GC19BD4 . No recent DNFs on this one (in fact, the person logging the NM didn’t even post a DNF, but that’s another story too…). Is it gone? Who knows, but I do recall it being a tricky find particularly if you hadn’t seen the style before, so I wouldn’t be suprised if it’s there.
So, this happens all the time, unfortunately. The unfortunate part is that it raises a flag to the reviewers which adds to their work, not to mention adds a cache attribute. Not much you can do about it except to respond to it as an owner via an owner maintenance log, and try to do some education on the subject. So don’t take it personally.
On the Left Side of the Road...Logging owner maintenance is only way to remove the “red cross” icon. Deleting the NM log simply deletes the log and not the attribute.
This is an ongoing problem, usually from newer cachers who don’t understand the implications of these logs and don’t seem to take the time to read the warning text that pops up.
On the Left Side of the Road...Looks like a baby bottle to me. You guys are twisted. 😛
On the Left Side of the Road...I feel your log is more than a little harsh and unnecessarily negative, particularly on a cache owner with just a few hides.
On the Left Side of the Road...Man, I hear the footsteps getting closer…I thought I was safe in the top 3 for a while longer. I gotta find some unfound lonelies within 100 miles of my home coordinates…or I gotta start doing some revisits…NAH!

I noticed that too, but I think it has to do with the way the GPX files download. There was 1 DNF and a number of notes in the last 5 entries, so the “Last Found” shows up as a . The last “Found It” is entry #7 and not included in the GPX file.
Methinks you’re right on that since there are other ones on the list that don’t “belong” there but the last few logs have not been “found it.”
So let’s all just consider it a bonus! On the Left Side of the Road...I thought it was just in the list as a tribute. 😀

So, did I just miss this one before or is it brand new? And what’s the purpose (well, besides the obvious)…it just seems like a strange one to need.
Though, I did add it to GC1ZVZW just for kicks and giggles.
The new icon looks kinds like the hotel, is that creepy ot what?
.
Yeah it sure does!
On the Left Side of the Road...8)
On the Left Side of the Road...Wow, this looks like our type of cache (well, at least mine)!
On the Left Side of the Road...True, but odds aren’t a consolation if it does happen, so from now on I’m opening the caches! Probably a good idea anyway.
On the Left Side of the Road...For the crew that experienced this (and I’m glad everyone’s ok), how would you suggest opening an ammo can? On it’s side or end with the top pointing away from you? This is a serious question, because quite often it is one kid or the other prying a can open with his/her face inches from the top.
On the Left Side of the Road...Ate at “Sparx” in Menominee on Tuesday night and would definitely go back for the nightly special. Half-pound burgers for $2, tap pints for $2, sides for $1. Fed the family of four for under $25 and that’s with two rounds of suds 😀 and the burgers were great. Had lunch there on the way back and the portions were a bit smallish, but I would definitely recommend Tuesday night.
This is right off the main exit on Hwy 29, going south, on the west side of the road. I believe it was formerly a Green Mill.
