8) x 500!
On the Left Side of the Road...8) x 2,000 and thanks for all the great caches placed!
On the Left Side of the Road...I have sent a message back to the scout exec with the concerns stated above…
On the Left Side of the Road...The question is, did this tour have more or less flatulence than the 200+ tour…

The cache description states to put it back tightly where it was found, but how many actually look at the descriptions of each cache before going out and finding it?
People shouldn’t have to read the cache description to have the common sense to rehide a cache where and as well as it was found (if not better), but all we cache owners know that common sense is anything but common.
So sometimes you have to be a bit more explicit: GC1E5CM
On the Left Side of the Road...My impression from looking at the BSA materials and the very few caches that have been published in other states is that this will somehow be disseminated from the Council level to the Pack/Troop level. In other words, the Council will say “Here’s a great new activity for your pack to do, so go out and place some geocaches.”
Therefore, it might be good to provide the Council Scout Executive (Mark Logeman) with a contact point to say that as the Council disseminates this information to Packs/Troops, or as the Council plans its own geocaches, they should be aware of the guidelines for publication.
I am happy to be a liaison here because I have contacted Mark about this several times, but I am not an official groundspeak voice…so…what would you like me to do?
On the Left Side of the Road...Those were some amazing caches and waypoints. I wish we could have seen them in action.
Obviously the finals were lost to human activity, but I wonder how many of the “natural” waypoints were lost to the elements or nature?
On the Left Side of the Road...Response:
“The material was delayed from national and just received this week. Watch for more information very soon.”
On the Left Side of the Road...We have one like that I just maintainted today. Well, not “just like” the nemesis caches, but it’s pretty highly woodland-camoed and it took me 15 minutes to find one waypoint even though I should have known right where it was.
How about that for a thread…”Can’t find your own cache?”
I love it when that happens, you put a new cache out, and someone else finds the original. 😳
On the Left Side of the Road...None on our list. We haven’t yet run into a cache w/in our PQ zone that isn’t worth doing at some point, or isn’t worth figuring the puzzle out on some dark winter evening.
On the Left Side of the Road...I’ll say what I said before, “To each his or her own.” This team had a goal, they set out to do it, they did it. The goal would not interest me, but it is a goal achieved.
Interesting stuff on that other power caching thread though…

For those interested in doing lots of real crappy caches to meet a personal goal of a certain number of finds in one day, take a look at the caches owned by mutherandsun in central Illinois. It would not be real hard to grab 200 of them in a single day with a small amout of planning, as they are almost all road sign caches.

On the Left Side of the Road...8) x 5,000!!!!
On the Left Side of the Road...I agree, it would be nice if it were possible to link these missions to the LCG map itself. Could this be done, even if it had to be done manually? There aren’t actually very many rescues left at the moment due to a flurry of community activity on these.
I do keep a personal bookmark list of these, but it’s not useful as a public tool because it’s not dynamic as DJ says–in other words, everything on it is “archived” so unless I remember to manually remove a cache it’s not current. I suppose I could endeavor to keep it current if there is a need for it but it would be nicer to link it to the actual LCG map.
On the Left Side of the Road...😕 x 🙄 x 😡 x 😯 x 👿 x ❓ x 😈 x 😀 x 8) x 500!
On the Left Side of the Road...Click SEARCH -> FILTER
Under “Found status,” uncheck “Not Found” (so that only “Found” is checked)
Click WAYPOINTS -> DELETE WAYPOINT(S)
Select “All Waypoints in Filter”
Click “OK”
