Where have all the players gone? Yikes, they were lurking there all the time from the feel of the cleat marks on my back here at mid-month. And it wasn’t even a runningadventure this time….. yet. 😯 Now the only thing I need to figure out is how many other caches you can report twice besides (GC15F6F). 😉
With all this time on your hands to audit the scorecards for irregularities, you could be out finding some lonely caches! A quick check of the map shows several good opportunities to the north of you within an hour’s drive to regain the lead… 😀
To clarify…my comment was intended in a spirit that mirrored the comment I was quoting…perhaps I should have chosen the winky emoticon instead, so here’s a few: 😉 😉 😉
Let me go on the record of saying that I don’t care about what anyone does, does not do, finds, does not find, revisits, does not revisit, rescues, does not rescue, replaces, does not replace, DNFs, or does not DNF in this game. I don’t care if someone files a report 100 times or 1,000. I don’t care if someone “breaks” every “rule” in this game. I don’t care 1,000 people play this game. I don’t care if I’m the only one playing this game. I don’t care if I “win.” I don’t care if I “lose.” I simply, truthfully, frankly, honestly, genuinely, don’t care.
I have other things to care about, but this is not one of them.

I did send a PM to deejay regarding an irregularity. Turns out a bunch of caches I “found” back in the July/August list are still in the dropdown list, but not on the bookmark list. I wasn’t attempting to be the audit police, but happened to check to see what others were chasing and noticed a bunch that weren’t on the list that were claimed.
I never really look into what other people are doing so I hadn’t noticed this. The exception was the cache that was mentioned by me above because it was a cache rescue that I came across.

Maybe a clarification about what the “official list” is also just in case the lists on the “main page” don’t match the dropdown list on the “submit report” page.
I don’t see this as a problem. The “official” list is the bookmark list itself and I know it takes a lot of (volunteer) time and (manual) effort to put it together and there’s bound to be an occasional hiccup betweeen the bookmark list and the dropdown scorecard. If the list doesn’t include a cache for some reason the site admin will quickly add it if you email him (Jeremy). If there’s something on the dropdown that isn’t on the bookmark list you can drop an email to deejay.
On the Left Side of the Road...Well DUH!!! I just figured it out. We need four togas for the Fondy Flash Feast! 😳
So I’m not crazy, just absent minded.

I can’t believe that on the maps the 550t does not show the big 8-10 foot wide river or stream just south of Sparta but north of the freeway. I also have city Navigator loaded as well.
Out caching and bang… I find myself at the edge of this water waterway that does not even show on the GPS. I get home and check the GPS and software and nothing. Google maps shows it.
It should show it. Make sure you have the topo map enabled thru the setup menu and “show shaded relief” selected.

Please keep in mind before going off on someone’s cache that maybe they have something else going on in their world that makes this whole world of geocaching seem rather trivial. I have seen a good number of NM logs that are really downright rude, and may not be what a person wants to open when they get around to checking their email.
Well said indeed…

We would love to see what you look like in a toga! 😉
Oh, no, you wouldn’t! 😯 😯 😯
I have four to spare…
True story…a client of mine made togas as a promo item (LOOONG story) a few years ago. On my last visit I was convinced I needed them for something and asked if they had extras. So I came home with four togas and Da Wife asked “what are those for?” Well, for the thing, I answer. You know, the thing we need them for? Don’t know if I dreamt it or if I’m losing my mind (no answer needed).
Anyway, back to the point of the thread…
8) x 365 x 2!
On the Left Side of the Road...And….another one:

On the Left Side of the Road...Got it now. About a 2 hour delay as well. Must be a system burp. Needs a smack on the bottom I guess.
On the Left Side of the Road...Yeah, I can’t get any PQs to run either. What a PITA.

I see a side of the game I hadn’t before and that is the giving back to the community aspect. Thanks to a compiled list, there are caches that are going to get visited by a good handful of people who otherwise might not have them on their radar.
Yep.
And it also helps “problem” caches get elevated for action, because it seems that DNFs on caches that have had a string of no-finds tend to get reviewer action when said reviewer processes the DNF report for the LCG. 😉

But the final would be a couple of hundred feet off, so you’d have to redo everything to check.
Oh, now THAT is just MEAN!!! 😆

Suppose you could put a cache at the top, but the jumping off would have to be just a “suggested” ALR now. 😉
No, it would be a multi. WP1 would be at the top. WP2 would be halfway down and it would be written so you’d see it flying down past the bridge. The final would be at the bottom.
Alex, you listening?
On the Left Side of the Road...I couldn’t help but think…why bother with the helmets? Not like that would matter at 100mph.
I’m thinking this will give Alex his next cache idea…
