Because the purpose of a revisit is to check to see if everything is ok, which is the same thing an owner maintenance visit does. Same reason that you can’t have multiple people logging revisits on a cache during the same cycle.
Man, don’t ask me! Ask Deejay — he made the rules. Or sagasu, he’s the leader on the revisit board.
It’s all just for fun, no one I know takes it all too seriously even though we play hard.

Huh? It does? Why is that? If someone was to find a cache on the same day as a owner does maintence,,,,how do ya know? Or just the oppisite. You revisted before the owner, but the owner posts it as an owner Maint. before one can log it as a revist, but an owner cant get points for his own cache? I think something isn’t jiving there.You are confusing finds and revisits.
Owner maintenance has NO impact on how many times a cache can be found by a new finder.
However, owner maintenance does prevent a cache from being revisited by someone who has already found it. As far as the timing goes…dunno. Hasn’t been an issue for us because we haven’t done any revisits.
Owners can’t get points for anything involving their own lonely caches.
Someone else correct me if I’m wrong here…
Cuz I have 5 or so caches that technically are not listed as mine but are under a diffrent user name I share with someone else. So I could claim them……..
Well that would be up to you, b/c you’re not the owner.
I don’t know what happened to the “rules and scoring” page b/c it’s not there right now….

Amazing! So I’m assuming the safe was “uncracked?”
By the way, since you’re so good at finding things in the woods, Mrs. Gotta Run is looking for her watch that she lost at that cache last year!

No.

No, but it prevents someone who has already found your cache from revisiting it and claiming revisit points.
The only way to prevent something from going on the list is to have it found after the cutoff period of the list. Well, or to have it disabled when the list is created.
On the Left Side of the Road...Do cache rescue missions to get free containers! Thus far we’ve recycled three rescued ammo cans, one 50-cal plastic ammo can, matchstick containers, and various odds and ends containers.
Other than that, the power-caching lunch of choice is 2 McChicken sandwiches, hold the mayo, and a large diet coke. $3.15. What a deal.
Oh, and leave the kids with grandma…somehow they always seem to make the trip more expensive…
On the Left Side of the Road...Boy, it is really strange seeing caches on which we were the last finders (in May!) on the current list! Nobody else solving puzzles?
A whole big mess o’ purple in the Appleton area…a certain “junkie” has some good opportunities…
Regarding the list itself, I’m sure that a sertain|someone will bemoan the scarce|scenarios for LCG points in his home turf…
