Well, after considerable time reading all of the posts about snowshoes…I checked up on the Cabela’s Outfitter Pro series, and yup, They’re on sale, with a $20.00 instant coupon to boot. Read all of the reviews, signed onto Cabela’s site…clicked on order ( one for me and one for the MR.) OUT OF STOCK! Dangit. I ordered them anyway, as Cabela’s backorder status usually goes pretty quickly. Looks like the New Years Resolution to get out more this winter may have to wait a few weeks…Thanks for all of the info on your experiences with snowshoes guys, we’re looking forward to getting out in the winter wonderland ourselves, SOON!
AWWW MAN! Where’s the kleenex box? Great story Cheezehead.
I am a cook in an elementary school and I LOVE it!!! What other job can you have that makes you feel like you are doing something great each and everyday for all kinds of children??? I’m sure teachers feel the same way. I have been doing it for 11 years now and look forward to almost every day. Heading back this fall is a little tougher than usual, summer went WAY TO FAST, and I agree with Timberline Echoes, not looking forward to 6 months of winter…that nasty 6 letter word!
Did we come in this way??? 🙁
Should we have waypointed the car?
YUP! While out caching for a series of Hayward Cheezehead’s we parked the car, got out and noticed a great Geo-Beacon. Checked it out and lo-and behold, an unpublished cache. I can still remember the name…”Orange you glad I didn’t say Banana?” I can only imagine where he is planning on going with this one! Funny thing also, several people had found it before us and logged in the cache log. One couple even found it twice, after Cheezehead moved it!
This new multi-cache by Kraftyfashionables is totally off the charts! She takes you to several locations, some requiring great stealth and all requiring alot of “Columbo” type thought. Locating the final was TRUELY a challenge and it felt so good to accomplish this one!
Check it out at GC1TMYY -
