The geocaching vibe is now at 134,000 and getting ready for a trip for our 49th state to find a cache in- New Mexico.
WI gas is cheap compared to California here at GW6, I paid 4.20 at the cheapest station and saw 4.50 in a few places.
I’m going solo on this one, flying from Milwaukee to Sacramento and will fly out on Thursday and return Sunday.
I’d be in for the group project, I like the cow idea as well. I’d be in for at least 30 or more depending on the pricing. I’d prefer a shaped coin even if it raises the price a bit.

OK last night I got one of these:
Needless to say I was very embarrassed (broke into an instant sweat)…..I guess this is what all Geocaching Men use in the woods….I must be doing it wrong then cuz so far I haven’t needed one of these.

Looks like a water bottle to attach to your caching bag
One of my geocaching goals is to complete my missing states in the lower 48. Only 6 more to go in the lower, then off to Alaska for my 50th state.
That might have been our cinder block, “Cindy” which was great fun to get started by leaving it in a fellow cacher’s pickup box.
received mine also, very nicely done.
If you look up Phantom Cacher in the forums on geocaching.com in the geocoin section you can see what the coin looks like. I’m behind in technology and can’t get pictures from my phone to my computer.

The cache police are actually powerless, and there is no geo-jail. 😀
OH no! I’m sure there is some hidden CIA/FBI/NSA secret Geo-jail in like Finland or somewhere like that! 😆 😆 8) 8) 😯 😯 🙄 😉 😉
Actually I think the geo-jail is in a swamp in North Dakota. The cachers there actually let FTF’s go for days and days.

Emily and I went to the last MOGA event, it is not all about competetive caching, you are also free to roam around at your leisure in Mark Twain Lake park and search for the 60+ Permanent caches that they placed this last March and I believe they are also placing as many new permanent ammo boxes out this year. This year we’re bringing the whole family for the event. Also for those not into camping the hotel we stayed at last year had very reasonable rates, around $40 each night, the Monroe City Inn, Monroe City, MO.
Update on this years price, they quoted us $45 per night for our reservation this year.
I’m very careful at logging my caches in the order I find them and I don’t even worry about milestone caches, my fun is in the caching itself and the places it takes me that I would never have been to without geocaching. My 100th find was in an industrial park, my 1000th was at a small picnic area in the Dells, and my 2000th was behind a coffee shop in Indiana. My 2500th was in Bristol Woods this past weekend at the Pringle event and that cache happened to be several years old which was nice to see. Life is about the journey and not the destination in my opinion.

Update on my post from two months ago, now at 121K after the trip to Washington and another to the Dakota’s last week. Now at 43 states cached in, only 7 to go!
Have fun driving to Hawaii! 😉
I cache with either an Explorer with 37k on it or with a Ford Windstar with 120k.
We’ve already cached in Hawaii, Alaska will be the big road trip yet to drive.
