Sounds good to me GrouseTails… I can just dump my footage directly to you on Sunday….
PERFECT!!!!
If someone is willing to do the editing I would burn all of my digital footage onto a DVD (already chaptered) and send it to that individual.
If no one else is interested in volunteering(and people can wait until mid-summer) I would be willing to try and edit it on my computer and make the commemoritive DVD. I’m no wizard at the editing but I could give it a try. I’m a teacher who is off this summer…
Anyone ever try fishing Allen Lake before? Any tips?
I agree. Please become a Premium member. The little amount of money it costs goes to a great cause for which I get so much in return. Plus… there are “Members Only” caches to find AND the mapping features for the members are incredible! It’s nice to give back a little to a hobby which does so much for us…
Also – having organized many a large event in the past for various organizations… please consider kicking in a few bucks to those that organize the campout. I know that I intend to. So many people are going to be putting in a lot of their time and probably a few of their own bucks into the organization of this year’s campout.
Okay.. I’m off my soapbox!
Jeff
Okay… let’s give this a try….
Amy and I went out to Hartman Creek today to check out our campsite as well as the group campsites for the big weekend. Neither of us had been here before and we were tickled with the state park. Beautiful. A number of campers were there camping this weekend (Easter Weekend) and were jealously wishing we were among their ranks… Since we have a pop-up (and a lab) we thought we would just reserve a normal site and drop over to “GEOCAMP” periodically throughout the weekend in order to join in camaraderie!!!
FYI… State Park stickers won’t be available for a few more weeks yet. They are having problems with the vendor that prints them. I buy a conservation patron’s license every year for fishing and hunting and it includeds a state park sticker. The park ranger said another few weeks!
Our campsite!!! (.34 miles from the group site)

The group sites – no more snow! They look beautiful!

I have a picture of the group camp sites taken today if someone can explain to me how to post on them on this forum?
kbraband! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for taking all of that footage. We didn’t go to last year’s campout so it was nice to see all that we missed (and we missed a lot).
Trudy – We also have a digital camcorder so we will be taking some footage and uploading it to the website too!
Thanks!
I think I’m more confused than anybody and I asked the question!
We’ll have to drink a beer over it at the campfire and solve all the problems of the world!
Am I in trouble?
Thanks for checking into it! Too bad… but still not the end of the world. It’s just incentive for me to check every day!!!
Great… found ’em….
Quick question… Are “MRE’s” required table fare at the campout?
Looked like a lot of fun last year. Looking forward to coming out this year…

Oh my gosh… my family too! Windows was for brain-dead people who had to see the information in front of them. DOS was a real computer user’s program!!!! HA HA!!! (Of course, you could never multi-task….)
Life is good….
First modem was a 1,200 bps deal…. No web pages – you had to go to BBS’s and dial them all seperately. ARGH!!!!
For all I get out of geocaching, I gladly pay the minimal fee requested by GC.com… Even if I didn’t get out and cache, just the amount of time I spend reading posts, checking out maps, reading about benchmarks, use the forum, etc… I think of it as a magazine subscription…with unlimited reading potential!!!
Bought the t-shirts for Amy and I – however, we have our own site (camper) reserved at the park. We have registered already and were wondering if there are any fees or anything else we need to do at this point? Looking forward to it – not too long!
