It was only this summer that Ranger Rob & Sophie were in my geocaching class. They must’ve learned well. Great job on your 100th find! Here’s to many more milestones.
09/03/2004 at 10:39 pm in reply to: Did Uncle Fun cross the 500 cache milestone this morning? #1755688Hey, great job Uncle Fun! Now you’ll have to come up with a new dance for milestones.
Congrats to you Uncle Fun for sneaking in there to be FTF. Thanks for your message this morning. I think I was 6th finder and there was still a couple of things left to take.
Yep. A few of my students’ travel bugs went MIA last school year. It’s too bad they went missing because the kids couldn’t watch it reach its goal.
The Travel Bug Graveyard is a good place to put missing bugs. You can also mark a travel bug you own or a travel bug listed in a cache you own as in an unknown location. There will be a drop down menu in the upper right corner on the TB page with a choice for “mark bug missing”.
Don’t give up hope yet. Surprisingly, one of our school travel bugs was believed to be missing because a cache got stolen, but ended up being logged a few months later. It traveled between a couple of caches and wasn’t getting logged. Keep your fingers crossed. Someone may have those bugs and will log them or they’ll turn up somewhere.
Congrats to the both of you. It’s always nice to see the younger ones reach milestones. Now, if we can work on BoyBug to show more enthusiasm when he wins a door prize at an event.
Congrats on your 500th. Auntienae was proud enough to show me her bruises yesterday. Not the first time her legs looked deep purple from a walk in the woods. OUCH!
Thanks for having a secured area for the travel bugs. I am bringing a few to drop off.
I am also bringing Jeep #3385 to the picnic. In order to get the jeep, you will have to work for it, and the rest of us will have fun watching you. The first person to find me at lunch, show me that they are wearing something supporting my favorite football team (none other than the Green Bay Packers), AND perform their best Packer cheer will get the Jeep. First come, first serve.
Way to go Wizards! You still have a ways to “catch up to me” though. Here’s to many more milestones.
This GPS is for sale again. The woman who owns it called me yesterday saying that she didn’t hear again from the person who was interested in buying it, so she can’t wait any longer. She has asked me to put up another message saying it’s for sale again. Look at my first posting for the rest of the info. If you are interested in buying this GPS unit, contact me and I can pass on the lady’s name and phone number.
If it’s 4 tickets to the Packers-Giants game on Oct. 3rd, I’m looking for some. Maybe I’ll get lucky.
I congratulated Corbor a few days ago in the thread under James Bond Jr. as they are brothers. So congrats again to Corbor and I thank him for coming with me on my 400th find last weekend.

Nice wedding photo on the profile! Congratulations on your recent accomplishments (geocaching and non-geocaching). Hope to see you at the picnic.

After several trips, I finally can claim this one as a find. I wasn’t going to do this one by myself again, so I brought a few others to join in on the search party. All waypoints are there, however the first marker may be off by 90-100 ft. according to your GPS.
Congrats little buddy! It’s was nice to have you along on my last couple of milestones! We can’t forget his brother, Corbor, who also past the 200 mark. Congratulations to both!
For those attending the event, don’t forget to bring your cell phone and digital camera. There is a webcam cache and locationless cache for you to complete in the series of caches placed.
For those bringing a dessert to pass, we are currently at about 30 participants, however that could be higher within the next couple of days. We do have access to the refrigerator in the concession stand if you are bringing something that needs to be kept cold.
Our schedule will include gathering between 7:30-8:00 at the park for registration, followed by caching. Lunch will be served at the concession stand beginning at 11:30. Door prize drawings will be at 12:30. The event will end at 1:00pm.
I also dropped some TB’s and Jeeps on the cache page tonight. Looking forward to seeing fellow cachers there.
