Ditto here. I’m still awaiting DNR approval for one I placed about 3 weeks ago. 🙁 Considering where it is, I’d rather have the permission before just “placing it” and having TD approve it. I’m learning to be more patient. 8)

No problem. Somewhere I have footage of the older cache finds – before I knew who “5Xplorers” “farmalldan”, etc. were. 😛

SammyClaws – you were very prepared! You had a better map than mine, you knew which paths were the right ones, and even handed out extra maps to newbies! That’s the definition of a good cacher.

Yeah, Vince was there off and on. I think he went out looking for some of the caches.

He said 160 people signed up and were out caching. That was a good sign that people are picking up this new hobby. So, look for future “Caching With Condella” caches in the near future.

I’ll post pictures as soon as I get them all.

Yup. It was fun. I just got home myself. Team SammyClaws and I were the first ones to get the coin. Funny, we took many detours (lunch, 4 GC caches, potty breaks, trip to the beach, etc.) and still took the FTF(?). I admit is was a little weird having a video camera follow us when we started. Look for a cameo appearance by the SammyClaws Family. Vince said most likely tonight or tomorrow night, and definitely a larger clip on Monday. If you have pictures, he’d like to see them.

It was pretty fun helping out first-timers who didn’t know how to enter coordinates. SammyClaws also had the foresite to print extra maps for lost geocachers.

I’m definitely doing this again next year! 😀

I put another map on my site. It was tough scaling it to Google Earth. You can kind of see where the other 4 “GC” caches are. At least now you can see trails. I’m guessing they’ll have something there as well to use.

Thanks to The5Xplorers, I have converted the coord’s to GPX format. Somebody might want to verify my conversions. I take no responsibility if they are off, or if they change locations on Saturday.

Doubtful. 😀 See his current streak of 168 days caching? I’m at 40 myself and will likely stop after this week. I need to start placing some more caches of my own!
