Convince my caching party to escort me to the establishment and I am there!
Hot date! Yay!

There are no catered meals this year. It’s all carny vendor food. But there are lots of restaurants in town (there was a really good Mexican restaurant — Senor something or other). And a grocery not too far away. Or you can cook at your site.

It is fabulous, isn’t it?

Sorry to hear about another bout of the illness. Hope things get better soon.

Found out yesterday (everyone went to the vet and are in perfect health) that we have 2 female and one male kitten. The black one (Figgy) is the male. The other two are nearly identical tabbies. So far, we can only tell them apart by their eye shape (Tiny has almond shaped eyes, and Brat has rounder eyes).
Brat may keep her name, although we are also liking Nipper. Still thinking though.
For fun, these are my family’s past and present kitties’ names: Eustacia Vi (Stacy), Figaro, Snowball, Squeaky, Sassafras, Trekkie, Whiskey, Kat Kat, Maximillian Thanksamillion (Max), Baby Doll, Tess (that is a shortened name, but that’s not a family-friendly story), Tippy, Tinker, Stanley, Bud, Sydney, August, Lyla…..I think that’s all (there’s been a lot of cats…)
If anyone is interested in having a kitten (or cat, if Mom is not going to keep her), do contact me.

Big Dog fascninates and freaks me out at the same time. I heard about this a little while back and have been keeping my eye on it (him?) The videos of it a interesting (scary?) There are some great spoofs on You Tube too (at work at the moment, so I can’t post a link).

What are you getting at, Marc?

got any pictures of the bites?
No — no pictures. They weren’t very impressive bites (although that first one really hurt!) The first one was on my middle finger (left hand). I got the best laugh when the nurse came in (when I was the ER getting my tetanus shot) and asked which finger was bitten. I showed her! But actually it was the side of the finger near the nail (like where you’d get a hang nail) and then right under the fingernail. Ouch!
The bite I got yesterday wasn’t very impressive at all. Just a little nip through my glove on the side of my hand.
Not a bite from any of them today. They can be snuggled some. Still thinking Brat might be the one I’m taking home. Needs a better name though — any suggestions?

LightningBugs Mum and I are in the upper left corner as well. There was a spot or two in that area still open, I think.

My very first geocache was found on a winter day following an ice storm. So I have some definite love for winter caching. I can remember going back to a cache location 3 or 4 times trying to find it. Dug the snow everywhere. Finally came back in the spring to find it, but the search was quite fun during the winter!

Congratulations!

I’ve never personally handled mama cat, but she can be petted. She and I had a falling out when I tried to pick up one of her kittens 10 days ago (in the incident where I was bitten by the kitten). Mama doesn’t trust me much now, and so I just leave her be. But we do chat and I have petted her some.
I have petted and held all the babies. They would rather that I just leave them be, but they don’t struggle when I am holding them. I even made an attempt to figure out their gender (my very unprofessional opinion is 2 males and 1 female).
I’m not sure how well mama (Mom calls her Shasta) will do as an indoor cat — but I guess Mom is committed to giving them all homes. I think the little ones will do just fine (they are currently named, Figaro 2, Tiny and Brat (that’s the one that bit me, and most likely the one I’ll keep).
I don’t think your cats are broken — they’re just cats. I have one now that’s almost 9 years old. He hates to be held.
Hi and welcome!
Green Bay seems to be a good geocaching area. Have lots of fun and come visit us here at the forums whenever!

That’s just awesome!

Work on our upcoming logo is still going on. This is no minor thing. Please be patient.
