Apparently there was a tornado in Fort Atkinson. So me and the pets went to the basement. That’s not a transportation issue for three cats and a small terrier. Carrying a 60 pound greyhound down (and later up) stairs is not fun. But I did some laundry and made sure my sump pump was working.
Today I will just hunker down at home and do some needed housework (geocaching has made me a bad housekeeper).

I’ll second that one too!
Great spot to visit and to cache in. (Wish it had a few more like Slough Gundy, one of my all-time favorites.)
But as far as I know there is no shelter or facilities. Am I wrong about that?
zuma
One of my favorite areas too! Just finally conquered Slough Gundy a week or so ago!

Bec
just want to add my, yup guinea hens.

Think of it this way — in the dead of winter, one could just walk across the pond to the cache, right? The natural barrier isn’t there anymore.

Now this is the kind of logical explanation I was looking for. Thanks. I feel much better.
I should have said that to you a few days ago when you first submitted the cache, eh?
Check with your county’s GIS mapping. That may also show ownership.
Some of the very small cemeteries are privately owned.

Yep, what others have said. Especially when there is plenty of other areas in a park or area in which to hide a cache.
Had you been 500 or so feet away, an exception might be granted.

Did you try offering the reviewer gifts? (lol)
Bec
I’m quite fond of Roche a Cri myself.

Bec does that mean your not going to be our friend anymore? We eat garlic often… Jim’s Italian!!!!!!!!!

Never! Love garlic myself. Probably explains why I have so few friends…
😀
BecBeing female, I don’t get too many questions, but there have been one or two. I am always up front with what I am doing. I ask the landowner if he or she is aware that there is a geocache on their property. When I get a confused look, or a “what is geocaching?” I assume they are not aware and give a quick 101 course. I offer to bring them along to find the cache, as long as they are okay with me being on the property. If not (and I have never been told it’s not allowed) I would ask if it was okay for me to remove the container. The majority of my questioners have been aware of the geocache, so I’ve not had to really use my spiel. Only once was I questioned and the person was not aware, but it was not his property (it was at the end of a dead end and he was confused as to why people kept visiting it.) Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the cache either. However, I think someone was able to help him out, as he came to greet just about everyone who went to the cache.

I have heard that people that take garlic pills or eat fresh garlic have natural tick repellent,
Thought it was just a joke but maybe worth a shot
eat enough garlic and you have natural friend repellent too.

I think Jennifer would join us, right?
Bec
Robin,
I sent you a PM regarding the coins. I’m ready to give you money!!

Will be going to Geo-bash with LightningBugs Mum. We’re camping at the fairgrounds.
I’m up for caching!!

WGA approvers Tami
Just a small clarification — the reviewers are not WGA approvers. It’s confusing because of the fact that our reviewers are in the WGA, and some use the designation “WGA”. Reviewers are part of Groundspeak (more or less) and are for the state of Wisconsin. Technically, they have no association with the WGA (although they really do, just not when the reviewer hat is on).
I know, thoroughly confusing.

I found on the trail following the night caches:
One blue and black light, batteries mostly dead.
One the ground at group site D:
One Team LightningBugs geocoin
One VW Bug TBAnyone want to claim?
