I guess Greyhounder’s admonition only applies to those who think the whole issue is a bunch of hooey. If you agree with deleting temp logs or not logging temps as finds, then you can say anything you want in this thread. If you don’t agree, then be careful what you say.
I know Greyhounder was just trying to keep the peace, but she already let her feeling out on this topic. When you post a topic like this, you will get into the temp logging issue because of the question of “Why would people be deleting logs in the first place?” Not everyone will agree with the point of view of the topic poster.
Wasn’t trying to flame any one side. (My opinion of logging temps is that I have no problem with them logging — I’ve done it myself.) Just trying to close a can of worms. Sorry if I came across negatively (having a really rough few days and might have sounded snippy in my post. Didn’t mean it at all!)

I don’t think the original poster was thinking of having a discussion about whether or not temp caches are good or bad, just wanted to know if anyone else was deleting them.
As you said, it’s just a game and play anyhow you want. Let people delete temporary finds if they wish too! In the big picture it makes no impact on anyone’s life.

For $20,000 I might be willing to settle down and get married…

Yep — I did it. Took out over 100 temp cache logs. I left them as notes.

😆 Professor gives a “senior discount” for his Evil Monkey caches. They (senior cachers) log saying they spotted the cache and that’s good enough for him. Tami
How senior is senior? Perhaps I qualify? 😀

Me climbing a tree for a cache? Very bad idea!
Others climbing a tree for a cache? That’s for the individual to decide. I hope no one would attempt this type of cache without safety in mind.

Too close to my Gettysburg trip during the month (darn job frowns on me taking off too much work).
Hopefully we’ll have a good group of attendees!

I’m highly OCD — my milestones occur exactly as they would come numerically.
Had some nice milestone caches before 500, but then I went back and deleted all my temporary finds. That changed the milestones, but the new caches themselves were still very nice.

I am thankful for geocaching, for so many reasons.
I am thankful for the WGA — a great organization that’s just a fun place all around.
I am thankful for my pets — my ever-loving companions.
I am thankful for my family, for so many reason.
I am thankful for zuma for asking this.
Happy Thanksgiving ALL!!

When I started caching (way back in the day) all I had was a Mac. There weren’t any good programs, so I went out and got a Windows based laptop for primarily the purposes of caching.
I’m on my second laptop now and haven’t really pursued anything on my Mac. The Mac is close to 10 years old now and still running well, I might add. The Windows laptops seem to have not as long of a life.
When I was between laptops I was able to utilize a program that converted pocket queries for use with cachemate (MCMconverter, or something to that effect). But that may not be a used program anymore.
Congrats on your Mac purchase. This has been an interesting topic!

Hey who poked you with a stick?
😉I’m just crabby because you won’t chat with me anymore 😉

As frustrating as they can be, I really prefer the challenging ones. I like the feeling I get when I find a clever or just well hidden cache.
That being said, sometimes I just wanna find a cache and an easy one will suffice…
Bec
Ouch!! Hope you are all right. Scary!!

Seriously — there’s been 6 of these things??
Now that my surgery is behind me, and the stomach muscles have firmed up again, I’d really like to attend!
Plus, you’ll all be happy to know — I cannot drink as much as I used to either!! 😆
