Wish I could have gone — sounds like a great time!
Bec
Just wanted to say that I am really looking forward to visiting Wildcat Mountain! I think it’s going to be beautiful there and we are all going to have a great time!

Zuma,
Would you be willing to take me along to the original stash? I can wear a TB tag, if that would help? I’ve always wanted to go to Oregon.
I’m sure you can tuck me into your luggage, right? 😆

The meeting is open to anyone who happens to be hanging around at the end of the picnic and wants to listen in on the meeting.
And just to clarify — this will be AFTER the general meeting at the picnic, not a concurrent session.

Thank you!

anyone have coordinates to the nature center?
(still not sure if I have to work or not, but hoping to come!)

Thanks Coastie!

Bummer! I enjoyed all of the Clues that I found. Don’t think I’ll be making a trip in that direction any time soon.
Thanks for the series Dave!

Clever! I can never come up with good ideas like you guys.

I also like to use the tri-fold brochure from Geocacher-U
I make a bunch of copies and have them available for attendees to take home. Be sure to put either your email address on the back or the Wisconsin Geocaching Association website on the back (or both!)
Bec, again
It’s pretty easy to fill 45 minutes to an hour with info on geocaching. There are some good power point presentation available here on the web site at:
geocaching presentation resourcesI do a little power point (adpated from the above mentioned link) interspersed with “visual aids” that people can touch and check out. I like to use a nice assortment of cache containers, as well as a fully loaded, ready to go cache for people to explore. I like to bring along a few GPS units, as well as a travel bug and a geocoin.
Talk about your own personal experiences and tell them why YOU geocache. The more personal the talk, the better it will be received. Know your audience beforehand and tailor your tone to that group.
Most of all, don’t worry — you’re fondness for geocaching will shine through. You have lots of questions, and at least a few newbies as a result!!

Excellent! Thanks for sharing!

we are going to try and make it too.. sounds like lots of fun. I did email them and asked if they wanted help listing it on geocaching.com. Thought maybe it would drum up more business for them….
Becuase they are charging a fee for participation, the geocaching guidelines do not allow this to be listed as an event. By having it posted, it’ll get lots of attention! If I’m free, I’ll be going!
