The final puzzle was a doozy for me. Now I need a nap — oh wait, I’m at work…

Delayed because I’m stupid.

I’d like to see a micro coin with a deer tick on it — just goes along so nicely with our deer coin.

My deepest sympathies to you. I lost my geo-dog (my namesake and dearest friend) a few weeks ago myself, so I understand how you’re feeling.

It certainly put me in my place — obviously even it thinks I need to get off my rear and go geocaching!
Based on your overall rate of 0.5 finds per day, you’ll find number 600 around 5/03/07 and the big 1000 around 7/11/09. However, over the past few months, your find rate has only been 0.38 finds per day. Based on that, you’ll find number 600 around 7/01/07 and your 1000th around 5/19/10.

Yeah, yeah, yeah! I know, it says “Bob” and not “BOD” I already asked for help in changing the title…I’m just waiting for Jeremy to reply.

(I’ve fixed the problem with the link now.) Here are the caches closest to my cabin near Phillips. Haven’t had much chance to get up that way in a while. Was hoping to make a tour this summer, but my ailing doggie has put a damper on my plans. I’ve done just a few, and they were great (Cemented in History, Timm’s Hill, Cranberry Cache, one of Otter’s waterfall caches, and attempted Slough Gundy, but the water was a bit high. Great hike though!) One of these days I’ll get back up there. Northern Wisconsin is like a sacred place to me, and when I can’t visit I feel lost.

You can upload your tracklog to the mapping software, but I’ve never done it. I wouldn’t think it would be too hard.
This would require purchase of a GPS and software, however.

A little less distracting:

That is beautiful!
I am also teaching a course on geocaching basics (including a crash course on the GPS) at MATC — Fort Atkinson this October. It’s a 2 day class (Saturdays), something like October 14 and 21, from 9am to noon both days. First course is “lecture” learning, and the second morning is “lab” out in the field.
It’ll cost somewhere around $22, but is a small group (around 10 people) and should get pretty in-depth.
Fort Campus
It’s under course, non-degree. If interested, just call the number on the page link I gave you.

I’ll email you with the link shortly.
