I’ve used both Garmin & Magellan. I’d say it’s a horse a piece. Both have good points and bad. I like Magellan’s rapid satellite lock, but I dislike its overshot when geocaching. Obviously, I don’t like how long Garmin takes to lock on to birds, but I get great accuracy.

And I work every other weekend. Been lucky so far, but there have been many events that I miss out on.

In addition to my 60CS, I also have access to 2 geko 101 — not able to upload coordinates, but my fingers are very dexterous.

And I can confirm my attendance — I need to get pointers on how to run a class like this!

The Channel 27 story sounded a little uninformed, but in general, not too bad.

Yeah, the DNR is working to get a geocaching policy in place by this summer…..and how long have we been trying to do that?

And who the HECK is that geocacher??

People are always scrutinizing WI events & trying to “get us” for having temporaries. Don’t even pay them any mind. They are the people that are into geocaching for the numbers. They also seem to have the idea that the person with the highest find count “wins”, and therefore finding temporary caches is “cheating”.

Continue to have your events and do whatever YOU want to do at them. Rest assured that your peers (here in WI) support your decision.
