There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI enjoy playing around with those satellite photos and seeing what I can find. At this cache:

(this is the Heroes of Flight 93 cache) if you scan around a bit you can actually see the impact sight and clean up still going on.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingGeo-Raider, Packerfans, and really I’m not lost are attending with children. Not sure of the ages though. I think Packerfans’ child is 4, and really I’m not lost’s child is most likely older than 7 (and very mature as well!)
Wanted to add: I don’t believe there is any actual play area for kids (but there could be) so you might want to bring along some “stuff” for them unless you don’t mind them playing with rocks. Although they were quite fun last year!!

I don’t know anything about all that stuff — I had to get major help from Jeremy to actually get here myself.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI’ve actually seen this on the web before — it’s photoshopped.
But creepy nonetheless.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI got a little more information on the grass fire near Old World Wisconsin. It started near the railroad tracks at Hwy S. It is believe that the train “sparked” the fire.

I can snail-mail them to you if you think you might find them useful. They rather enjoyed the cache I hid for the class, as it was full of M&M’s, Snickers Bars, and copies of Bret’s geocaching brochure. Naturally they learned not to expect edibles in regular caches too.
All would be most useful & most appreciated!

Thanks! Would love to take a look, as long as neither of you mind me stealing some ideas!!
Also would love to get photos from everyone — neat cache hide spoiler pictures, or any great geocaching photos you have. I’m going the full audio-visual route with this thing!!

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingDo you have a Gander Mountain or other sporting goods type store? They should have it.

I was working at Old World Wisconsin the day after the fire. There is no noticeable damage to the area — at least from the way I took in and out (hwy NN to hwy 67). So caches on that side should have been okay. At OWW I was told that the fires were primarily north of hwy 59. So if you have caches between those area….time for a maintenance check!
Not a picture from a cache of mine, but this is my travel bug, and I love this picture!!
