This has so far been the job of the person monitoring the COTM voting. The current “monitor” is still pretty new at it learning little nuances along the way. I, er, she promises to do a better job in the future!
It would be cool if in the future GC numbers were also submitted — it would make finding the cache page to link much easier!!

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI believe it’s this one:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=23eaab2a-1753-4e05-b890-ab1d14170953
I sent an email to the cache voter to confirm, but haven’t heard back.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingTry finding a cache without using WAAS. I don’t use it on my 60CS and have had good luck. Some people swear by WAAS, and some think it’s overrated.

I’d love to see a picture of one of these!

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingIt’s actually going to be a 2-day class: classroom with the basics and such, and then the next session will be “field trip” day.
I’ve got 6 months to prepare, so it should be no problem.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI don’t believe we have any control in the number of approvers for Wisconsin. That’s overseen by gc.com.

I love this list! I’ve utilized it in the past in determining accessible caches for Mom (she’s not in a wheelchair, but has limited mobility some days). Not all 1 star terrain caches are accessible. And some accessible caches are sorta, well, lame. It’s nice to have a bookmark like this available!
I should go back through Mom’s finds (and that’s a bunch now that she’s passed her 200th milestone!) and see if there’s any we can contribute to your bookmark!

He has a few other caches that are of the stop bath variety. It was a small brown glass bottle in those instances.

Hmmm…I have to work in the afternoon. Depending on what time I decide to wake up I may join you for one or two.

Were your batteries already dead when you changed them? They could have been dead for just long enough that you lost your data. There is a small-ish window when the batteries need to be changed. My older Palm went through batteries really quickly, but my current model (a Handspring) lasts a couple months between battery changes. You get used to knowing when it’s about time for a battery change and be able to swap before any problems happen.

I know for me and some other cachers, seeing 3-4 DNFs in a row will make me WANT to go out and try to find it. Don’t worry about it!
As soon as I win the lottery and can afford the gas, I’d like to head your way for some geocaching! (seriously though, I do hope to come your way this summer perhaps.)

Some of the caches I did along the I-80 have been disabled, but there are many & I’m sure that a map search would show you quite a few.
One, quick stop one that I visited is 80/90 Westbound Cache (GC7230). That’s in indiana.
Another nice one — but a bit of a side trip off I-80 (well worth it though!) is Tuff’s Cache (GC9407). It’s a historical.
Did a quick search along that patch of the interstate and came up with a few cache on or near the I:
#3-2005 White Sox Great Lakes Interstate Tour (GCRB9H)
The Crane Waterfall (GCE3DB)
Outlet TB Hotel (GCKWPP)
Taste of Indiana (GCV9HK)
Indiana Spirit Quest #223 (GCPE5K)
Walking with the Dead (GCMNQR)The caches I visited in Ohio have been archived, but here’s a few along the route to Toledo:
The Secret Lies Within (GCJBVC)
ISQ-OC#6 Return of the Hoosiers (GCP5MV) — this might actually be in Indiana?
Bates Run (Hiding on the Siding) (GCPJ44)
210 Tiffin (GCKBCH)
SQ Ottokee Rides Again (GCQQ9J)
Delta Omicron Gamma Sigma (GCEC80)I found a few caches in Pennsylvania as well, and I loved each of them! Not exactly on your route, but not to be missed!
Heroes of Flight 93 (GC22C9) — for obvious reason, you must go here. I’ve visited the memorial twice and it’s trully a sacred site.
Gravity Hill Cache (GCF561) — fun for the whole family!
When you’re in the area you can do this virtual as a drive by: Power the Future – PA (GC8FCF) does this sound vaguely familiar??
And though not a geocache (might be some near though), you have to visit Fallingwater near Ohiopyle PA. A little WI in PA ala Frank Lloyd Wright!
Have Fun!

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI’ve made a couple treks out to Delaware, and did a few caches along the way. Let me look over my notes and I’ll get back to you.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingDon’t think I can make it. I’m on call to work that weekend and we are getting pretty busy on weekends. IF plans change I will certainly be there — I have been wanting to get theses done!
