We got 9.5″ and they closed work for me at noon. After shoveling out my driveway and sidewalk (the snowblower only made it through the driveway & then started to smoke…) I sat at home ALL DAY (yuck!) Started moving around furniture — I was THAT bored!

I don’t care if they end up in the trash! If one did show up on eBay I WOULD DIE OF LAUGHTER!!! Just wanted to try something fun (& funny).
Can you actually believe that I’m pretty decent at sculpture? Just actual drawing seems to fail me.

Thanks Pat! And to you too!

Ooops! Trying again:

That could have made an interesting geocache!!

Just out of curiousity — how many active WGA members voted in this election?
Bec
Definitely a close race! Everyone nominated deserved a spot on the board. Thanks to those who voted for me. I’m trully honored to have this opportunity.

All right then! Let’s make lots of money!!! I’m a capitalist!

ah, gotcha. Thanks for clarifying (for me. I’m sure I was the only one who didn’t know.)

that’s I guess what I meant. I wasn’t stating myself very well, but I was trying to say that a not-for-profit organization cannot make money just to have money. Every dollar earned must be used for something.
Again, not so familiar with it. A portion of my company is non-profit. Their income & budget must cancel out at the end of the year.

Some parks require that a specific bench (or bench plan) be used. Our family is putting in a bench at the Jefferson County Dog Park (a rainbow bridge bench, in memory of all pets no longer with us). They are letting us build it, but we have to use the same design as the other benches in the park.

Am I correct in my belief that WGA has a not-for-profit status? If so, I’m not totally sure what that all entails, but I do believe that means that all monies received must go strictly for the running of the organization (probably includes events and stuff too).
I’m not so keen on a premium membership for WGA. If it were available,of course I would take advantage, however.
One of my concerns is that if premium membership were available, would that have a negative impact on donations? If some assumed that all costs were being footed by premium members, perhaps they would be less likely to contribute the the WGA.
I like the idea of a DONATE button though.
And my other concern would be the shift in a free organization and “what can I do to help the WGA?” to a premium member organization with “what is the WGA doing for me (because I’m paying for it)?”
On a greyhound forum, you have the option to donate to it. The only benefit is that under your name on your posts it indicates that you are a supporter of the forum. That’s enough for me.

My event has been approved!

Hope a whole bunch can make it!
How do I get this put onto the events calendar on the main page?

The news story did direct you to go to Fox 6’s website. There they provide links to gc.com, and upcoming classes on geocaching by Auntie Nae.
I wish there was a link to WGA too, but I can live with what they have.

I just realized a couple days ago that I have spell check in my Safari browser. Thank goodness, my spelling is so good, I don’t need it (yeah, right.)
If you have an edit on your tool bar, check it — you might have a spell check too.
