WOW! I’ve never used Google Earth before — is that how fabulous it is? I’ve really got to get my laptop connected to the internet….
On topic: it’s nice to see that the COTMs are fairl spread throughout the state (although a little more prevalent in the southeast.)

Kama Sutra! Oh My!!
I think Macs are safe — they usually are when crises like this pop up.

You guys do live pretty far North — information takes a while to get up to you!
Here’s some info on HOB’s site:

I think I’m supposed to avoid those type of people….
(by the way — we need to plan our next caching adventure…)

The promo actual shows one of the reporters in the woods with a GPSr. So it does look like someone’s done a little advance research. I’m really looking forward to the segment!

Caught the ad again — the segment will air on Monday at 9:00 P.M.

I bake yummy chocolate chip cookies!
Seriously though, I’m a trully nice person.
(Seven words is hard!!)
BecI would be the color green. It occurs in nature, goes well with just about every other color, and put you in the mind of cool, fresh and new things!!

This is fun!!
Tupperware (less scary)
Traditional (The logs in the log book are usually better)
Location
Garmin (yes I have tried both)
Plucker (haven’t tried cachemate yet)
Lavern (milk & Pepsi — mmmmm!)
Lenny (Michael McKean is great! He was in 2 of my favorite movies: This Is Spinal Tap & Best In Show)
DNF (everytime!)
Multi (Just because I can use the exercise)
Virtuals (there’s some great information out there! Love to learn about history or see interesting things)
Not log event temps (Just my personal choice — I don’t care if others log temps.)
Why Not! (One should always question authority, reality, what-have-you….I’m sure you meant why not log temps — see above for that answer. I’m just being silly here!)
It’s NOT all about the numbers — it’s about the experience you gained and the adventure you had!Bec
Geocaching will certainly continue to evolve, and I hope the WGA will evolve along with it. Not that we will always agree with Standards & Practices set by the geocaching community as a whole.
I like that we have our own things in Wisconsin. We created the term “finder’s tree” and I know that has crept into other places. I like that we have a stance on temporary caches that the WGA stands behind. I’m sure that we will continue to create that which makes geocaching in Wisconsin unique to Wisconsin.
I hope that as the years progress we continue to have a diversified and cohesive group with the WGA. I don’t know that major changes will occur, may be just refinement or redefining of what we do that makes us an organization.
If we continue to spread the positive word about geocaching throughout Wisconsin, I believe we can expand the size of our group. This should have a positive impact on the placement of geocaches (as long as we keep up the good work we have begun with the WI DNR and City of Madison). We can act as a positive role model for other states!
Oh, and when we get to 10 years — we should have a big party!!

Quite the thought-provoking question. Here’s some thoughts off the top of my head.
I like to think that my ability to stay neutral and see all sides of an issue is pretty handy (maybe not so unique though). I respect all opinions, and try to keep mine to myself, unless required or requested.
I am an extremely detailed planner. With me you can be assured that all bases will be covered!
Although fairly quiet in most group settings, I am very comfortable in front of groups and have actual college training in presenting. For work I have been required to make presentations to groups. My job also requires me to go into businesses without a whole lot of preparation or information. Therefore I’m very comfortable in talking to people, and can take charge in sometimes uncomfortable situations.
I have served as head of a few committees in my day (Team Captain for Relay for Life for the last several years, and on the Planning Committee for Relay Fort Atkinson for the past 2). I can be very creative when it comes to fundraising (silent auctions are my specialty). My team felt that I was very inspiring to them. In the last few years I was able to get our team donations for Relay to nearly $6,000!)
I’m probably one of the most flexible people you’ll meeet (although I’m getting older & might have to warm up first). Actually , I mean fexible in terms of rolling with the punches. Again, this is a result of 12 years of crazy work schedules, working in a vocational/rehab service field. I can stick to my guns if required, but when change is needed, I will embrace it fully.
I am willing to be available to people at all times. Work and my dogs are the only real obstacels to my availability. If you need me, I will try my hardest be there for you!
That’s about all I can come up with at the moment. My sense of humor is certainly unique! And I think I’m the only candidate that has an almost fully metal left knee….

Average, average, average! The longer you let the GPS average, the better the reading. There will always a certain amount of error. Set down the GPS and bring along a book or a lunch. After that’s done, and you’ve marked the cache, walk away. The set your cache as a goto and see how accurate your coordinates are. I’ll do that a few times too — for a couple days.
Time consuming, but it works for me!

But I would have brought yummy chocolate chip cookies to the tribunal…..
I voted so early! Obviously I wasn’t recoving from anything exciting from New Year’s Eve.
