Badger? You decide!
Bec
There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI just tried to draw a badger, just thinking I could suddenly discover an art talent and be helpful…..it sort of looks like a fish!!!!!

(if I can figure it out, I will post it. It’s bad!)

…..just trying to be helpful….

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingIn the past at events, if you were uncertain that the event hosts would have the means to download waypoints to your unit, you would bring along your own cable. Would you be able to bring along the necessary stuff?
And there is always entering coordinates by hand! There are still some folks out there who cannot download any waypoints (like my mom).

The Whitetail looks nice as well…..
I want to see a badger!!

What about a badger? That’s very WI….and they’re so cute & cuddly!
I like the use of the motto (Forward)….it’s very positive, and in some way that I cannot express, sort of IS sort of geocaching in Wisconsin.

I don’t know any games. Although the ground zero one we did at a breakfast last year was great (everyone puts a little flag at where their GPS locates ground zero, and then we see who’s closest).
I’m thinking more of actual learning — paperless geocaching, compass usage, cache hiding do’s & don’ts, first aid on the go, projecting waypoints, GSAK for dummies, etc…..seminar type stuff. There’s a lot of geocaching related knowledge in this group, and we should be utilizing it.

I love the unpaved roads!!!! That was a plus when I was caching in Nebraska. Makes everything so much more interesting.

Just a comment on the coin that is currently being proposed on the other thread (it says not to post there). Looks really good, but the leaf on the back makes me think it’s Canadian. Of course, that’s just my comments (and it might not be worth all that much).

I would love to see more “educational” stuff at WGA sponsored events.

Or — just make this the hint for each cache: gur pnpur vf uvqqra arne n tebjc bs pnpuref!
(hope I did that right — it was from memory.)

That’s great!! I wonder how he discovered geocaching? Was he invited to the picnic?

There are no shortcuts to any place worth goingI don’t believe I’ve seen any official actual business cards in caches, nor have I seen any adult content themed stuff either (except for a certain 4th of July event cache last year). Guess I’ve been lucky there!
I did obtain a bunch of stuff from work (magnets, chip clips and the like) with my business name on it. I hadn’t really thought that some people don’t like that type of stuff either. I don’t mean it as free advertising — it’s just free swag
