Congratulations! It was great to meet both of you this weekend!

I have been in this situation on a number of occasion while caching. And when you gotta go, you gotta go. There is actually small rolls of TP out there that are designed for those “on the go”. Myself, a package of kleenex works just fine. Oh, and make sure you make your potty stops on caches in the middle of nowhere — in an urban environment, this sort of behavior is frowned upon.

nope, same problem…..
Still having trouble here. I’m getting this message:
Error Sending Waypoints
MAGPROTO cannot open ‘COM3’ for write. Error was ‘Permission denied’.I switched to COM1 and got the same error message.
Any more help?

Actually, that was Wild Turkey Roost that I made my inital falls at. By Caching Through The Snow, I was almost a pro at slipping and sliding and in general falling on my butt. I loved that hill though (in retrospect, not at the time!) I remember thinking, “if this is what geocachers do, I am so not going to be able to do this!!” I was so pathetically out of shape that near the end of the day, both of my calves were cramping at regular intervals. Now I actually look at hills as a fun challenge (Mystery of the Troll’s Treasure comes to mind!)
So I say, bring Caching Through The Snow II: Jack Frost’s Revenge!

Sorry I couldn’t come to the chatroom (darn job keeps making me get up so bloody early!)
I still have my SporTrak Map.
Thanks Linus! I did change the baud rate on my GPSr, so I think all is good now. Haven’t tried to upload yet but if I run into problems, I know who to call!!

Updated mine yesterday — the day before my anniversary!

Oh! It’s geoCACHing — I thought you said geoCATing!!

No slaps from me — sometimes I fail to see the most obvious of problems (story of my life!)
Yep — everything is connected correctly. Then I checked GPS setup. The brand is correct, but how to I check that I am using the corrct Communitcations port and Port speed? Currently it is setup for COM3 and 9600 on GSAK. How do I check that it is the same on my GPSr?
Ya know, I though that a year into this I would know what I’m doing. Turns out to be not so much!!

Congratulations on 1300!!
