I was planning on buying a new tent JUST for the camp-out this year…so from this thread I think I need…
1)External keg storage w/ inner tap
2)A REALLY long extension cord
3)Extra heavy duty sound insulating walls
4)and a holster.Does that cover it all?
1) Yes, very good idea
2) If it stretches all the way to the family campground, you’re good.
3) The only noise I’ve ever heard at night was SNORING! And it wasn’t me!
4) Um……Bec
For those who expressed interest in volunteering this year
There is no formal registration this year, but volunteers are welcome!
I told them that we had a bunch of Wisconsin folks ready and willing to volunteer.

I did option 2 (as I always do) and it didn’t work. I’ll try option 1.
Well, it’s not a perfect system yet….but I’m too annoyed to figure it out at the moment.
I got my Home file sent to cachemate, but my Mission file won’t go because that file already exists (ummmm….no…)
Anyway. If someone understands and can help — it will be gladly accepted.

Looks like I figured it out — sometimes you just gotta re-install the software…

I only see one set of legs, so unless the tryst is with the shrub, I’d go with number 2.
Since the legs are standing … I don’t think it’s #2 … maybe the second choice, but not #2.

That just made my day!(I’m of the “no stealth” group myself. I like to pretend I am the geocaching ambassador and involve those who question my antics.)

Great cache!
When I did it, we did use the Bald Bluff parking. But your mileage may vary…
I think the final may have moved since I found it too.

It really doesn’t matter what it looked like — someone thought it was a bomb, and the authorities did what they had to do. I was contacted by someone involved in the “removal” of the cache. It just so happens that he is a cacher. But he could not find any marking on the container to indicate it was a geocache (even using the camera mounted on the device that blows up containers). They used his gc account to determine it was most likely a cache, but without markings, how could they be certain?
This is the cache log he submitted — unfortunately, it was deleted by the owner. I think it’s pretty educational.
This cache no longer exists. It was mistaken for a “pipe bomb.” The Brown County Bomb Squad responded to this. Due to no “geocache” markings on the container, we had to assume this was a suspicious object. As a fellow “cacher” & Fire Incident Commander, clearly mark your containers so we do not have to go through the time & expense to investigate & deactivate. I was 99% sure this was a geocache, but will not gamble on the 1% chance I was wrong. The robot could not get a clear camera shot of the container, therefore I could not deem it safe. We used this website to confirm there was a cache in the area (using my account name). The Village of Allouez Parks Director was not aware of any permission given for this cache. Bottom line? It’s destroyed. Captain B.B. (Firehogs), Allouez Fire Department.
He also told me that the cache owner was not in trouble in any way.
Whether or not you agree with what happened — mark your containers!

a 1 terrain SHOULD mean accessible to all, but keep in mind that this is very subjective…
When I cache with Mom we only seek terrain 1 or 1.5. We’ve (well, I’ve) had to climb for these terrain ratings! This can be frustrating. I usually send the hider a little suggestion in these cases. It’s their choice whether or not to change the rating.
I like to see the accessible attribute used, actually. Then I know the person has considered accessibility.

Bec,
if you roll the Quarter Barrel into your Tent, Where are you going to sleep, I seem to remember you having to lay crosswise, and hair and feet are still touching the corners!!
😕 😕 😯 😯
Nope. Not gonna ask. 🙄 😉
So, you haven’t seen the nano tent?
Actually, this year I plan on bringing the mansion along! I think it has 2 rooms!!
