Congratulations! Doesn’t that first 100 feel great?

I’ve attended a greyhound “convention” and I can tell you the sight of 3,000 greyhounds is pretty impressive….I can only imagine how exciting 3,000 geocachers could be!
Bec
I’m pretty sure I was still awake at that time, but didn’t seem to notice it here in Fort. Although, the dogs and I all woke up for some unknown reason around 4am….aftershock? (doubt it.)

So you’re sayinnng no one would be interested in just my opinion? Just kidding!! I will work on this idea and see what comes of it. So you are all warned — I may be bugging you soon (not too much though!)
Bec
Actually, I have an idea that I got from the Today’s Cacher — what makes a good cache. Obviously, something from my perspective. But maybe I can think of something a little more interesting.

I really enjoy reading about fellow cachers (ala the interview type article that appeared here recently.) I like learning about how people began the hobby, and how they approach it. I like to hear about their favorite caches, and which ones were the most challenging. I guess I’m just nosey….
Maybe when people reach a certain milestone (200 or 300 finds or so) they could be automatically sent a questionnaire. The option to complete it would be theirs, of course. A sort of “cacher of the month” if you will.
Of course, there may be the time when numerous people reach whatever level is set (perhaps then 500 finds would be a better milestone.)
Just my 2 cents.
I really enjoy writing, by the way and would be willing to help out in any way….

Well, if no one goes to the east coast for the next couple months, I can claim Delaware (and maybe New Jersey) in October.

Yeah, maybe I am a little spoiled by the Roadmate…hadn’t even thought about that!
But yes! I would definitely be interested in trying out your GPS as a sort of exchange student program. Are you sure you’d be willing to be without your Garmin for a few weeks??

Thanks, SirPoonga — this too is very helpful to me. The eTrex series is still high on my list as well.
(and I had my eye exam last night, so we might now have the issues with reading the screens on any GPS all worked up — meaning, I’m getting older…..)

Please excuse the stupidity — but where does one use an external antenna? While walking around looking for caches? While in the car? In the house?
My SporTrak does a great job at finding satellites, even from inside near a window. I only put it on my dashboard to get a signal lock, and then it rides in the cupholder between my car seats.
