The WGAÂ Â Â Â
years strong! You can use geocaching dot com as your photo storage site. Upload the photos as a note to one of your archived caches. Then link your active newer cache pages to the photos on the archived cache photos.
I use a paid site, Smugmug.com, which I love. But if you want free, then storing them on an archived cache is the way to go!
I don’t know if this is a problem, but one of the lonelies we submitted
Ox Bowl Overlook (GC2ZM2X)
I evidently left the date found as blank, and it assigned it as found on July 1 instead of June 25. It really should be edited to June 25 so that the cache is no longer listed on the July LCG list.Ones I am missing:2011 Campout, 2011 Picnic, 2012 Chili Feed, 2012 Campout, 2013 Chili Feed. It’s going to be tough to track those down.
We received this log on the “Meet the WGA” series, 7 caches in Brookfield (Waukesha County) that highlight different things about the WGA.
Meet the WGA #7: All Together Now (GC4NBQC) has a new log:
Logged by: CacheMe0uts1de
Log Type: Found it
Date: 06/24/2017Found it. Thank you for the fun and informative series. I am now a member of the WGA due to this series and may attend some of the upcoming events. Had a tough time finding this one but the clue was very helpful. TFTC!
I set up my first DVR this week. I like it. I used to record programs or movies on a VCR but haven’t done that in about 5 years. Most DVRs are tied to some type of monthly subscription. I really don’t want to pay $100 or more per month for content on my TV. I got a TiVo unit with a 1TB hard drive that does not need a TiVo subscription. A few surprises that I wasn’t aware of – you can play back the recording at 30% faster speed (great for sports) but the audio pitch is lowered so it sounds like their normal voice instead of Alvin & the Chipmunks. Another surprise is that if you watch a TV program through it you can pause and replay live TV, even if you’re not recording it! Plus the usual skip commercials, a two-week TV guide, etc. I would have been happy if it just could record shows!
We’re headed to the west coast next month. The last several TB’s we picked up have been stuck in Wisconsin for far too long, so we’re likely hanging on to any we retrieve for the next several weeks so we can move them far away.
In my neck of the woods that would be a “yes.”
for page 801 Jim did you realize you had post #12,000?
Today is my second day home after a 5 day hospital stay. So that is what I have been doing.
You were missed at the cache quest event. I hope you’re feeling better! We were pleased to check in with the slowest time for the 12 caches (last place!!!), but then Froggerz & Uncle Fun checked in with a time 5 minutes slower than us. A stunning upset.
Something my son wrote a few years ago:
Haiku often resemble painting more than writing. It seeks not to tell a tale of experience, but to lead us into one. I remember once taking a hike through the Columbia Gorge on a beautiful summer day. Moss covered the trees to the left and a chorus of birds mingled with the rustling creek below. The only two clouds in the sky sat across the creek on opposing sides of Mount Hood, as if balancing its pointy tip. I stood silently, fully engaged in my surroundings and as my friend came to my side to see what I was seeing, I said, âthis is haiku.â He responded, âok, letâs hear it,â and I said, âno,â holding out my hands and spinning in a circle, âthis is haiku,â and after pausing for a moment, I continued, âyou just have to find it.â
Here I am again
Finding caches in the woods
I love the outdoors
Google states “Haiku” is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku typically have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme.
Having said that, I have come across numerous haiku that vary from this formula. With many haiku that I have read, the first line and the third line can be switched around and still have the same meaning. The beginning points to the end and the end points to the beginning.
… and receive all of the glory for FTP-ing page #800. I’d like to thank all of those who’ve made it possible for me to reach this pinnacle of accomplishments. đ
I can burn up the remaining page…
