I tried submitting three reports today and they didn’t appear to be going through. So I tried them again. One of them is showing up twice, so it will need editing.
Here I go….
There you go again…
I couldn’t agree more Gwyn. I’ve only done one power trail; even with that one I tried to write something unique where I could. I guess my expectation (hope?) is that if one hides unique caches, they would receive unique logs, and if one places caches in a series along power trails they can expect the cut and pastes.
Another nifty thing about uploading pictures through GSAK is that rather than uploading the full resolution picture (which could take a minute or two per picture), you can specify the size you want to upload. If you specify a smaller size image for viewing it goes much quicker.
I also would like the SPS to remain in place. However, if some day in the future, say 2020, the subject comes up of archiving, I would like to adopt back the cache that we’re trailbosses of and keep it going. We have about 60 caches we’ve placed since we began 7 years ago and haven’t archived any of them. Although we expect to archive some eventually, I see no reason why we couldn’t keep and maintain our state park cache for a decade or two.
I’m not sure if I’ll be watching the Academy Awards anymore in the future. I watch movies to escape, to be entertained, to dream, for enjoyment. But it has gotten so political in recent years that it is becoming the very thing I’m trying to escape from. I’m sick of politics, whether from the left or right. >sigh<
Now that the WGA has created a state park geocache series and a geoart series, how about a state forest series? Actually I think it would be good for 2018, but I’m planting seeds now…More topics: non-BOD participation in various WGA committees, Geocaching continuing education seminar day (GSAK, puzzles, placing caches, web page setup, roundtable discussion, etc.), Lonely Cache Game video or powerpoint tutorial on the WGA website, newbie mentoring program (possibly by membership committee?), updated PowerPoint geocache 101 presentation on WGA website for others to download, promote updated blank log sheets (and “stash notes”) available on website for download. I think a continuing seminar education day could possibly work the Friday of the campout (maybe 5 to 7pm) or the Sunday of the campout breakfast (maybe 11 to 3pm); many people would already be there anyway and they could stay a bit longer.Going caching and golfing tomorrow. Talk about a perfect day.

We’re paused at 999 mystery caches found. Froggerz has more than twice that many mystery caches found, and for all cache types combined they have 6,999 finds. We both hope to reach our respective milestones together at the same cache at the same time this weekend.
I tried to vote today in the WGA elections. When I clicked to submit, the screen turned blank below the WGA elections banner (see picture). There wasn’t any message confirming the vote was received. Is that normal? I’m not sure if my vote counted!

What’s the GC number? There are tons of possible hidden clues that would not show up by simply printing the pages.
Root beer with Rumchata and vanilla bean ice cream. Yes thank you I’ll have another.

What hotels are you guys booking at?
There is only one hotel in Mosinee, and that is Quality Inn Central Wisconsin Airport. That’s the only place I’m aware of so far that people have booked. I think it’s about $80/night. We’re staying there too.
About 6 or 7 miles north of Mosinee, in Rothschild WI, there are several hotels. Econo Lodge and Motel Six are reportedly only about $60/night.
Of course, it IS a campout event, so presumably most people will be camping!
