If we can swing it after vacation, we will be staying at the Best Western with the Orange Moose.
That would be Best Western Arrowhead Lodge. 🙂

If you look at our gc profile page we list a few dozen we’ve completed and the challenges we’re still working on. Most of the challenges, for us, have been great, admittedly some others have not been so great.
With the new guidelines, it’s looking very promising for quality challenge caches. We even hope to create a few , IF we can ever figure out how to incorporate into the cache page the required challenge checker. Seems complicated.
Got a message from Time-Warner that starting in June, all TV subscribers have to use their cable box. We currently don’t need or use their box because we receive their signals direct from the cable to the TV. With their box, we’ll have to use their remote instead of the one that comes with our digital smart TV. Not happy. Worse, beginning sometime in 2017, we have to pay a monthy rental fee for said box. 2017 may be the year to cut the cord.
Congrats Mark on #4,000, and completing GC696K9, a modern classic cache as well!
BBG did you cut down all three?
9801 is better than 9802.
Finally done with pictures and logs from the campout. Except for some trackables I’ll get to in a day or two.
Hey, just realized…the campout will be my 1 year anniversary with the WGA…whoo hoo!!
Happy anniversary Jessica!
new camera lens???? What did you get? Or did I miss it?
I am wanting this one:
I’m afraid my tripod would tip over with that behemoth. 😉
We’re planning on placing a night cache. I don’t think it’s been decided yet where the night caches will be placed (by the group campsites, by the Mackie shelter, etc.), but wherever it is we’ll just roll with it.
Way to reach 4,000 in style! :like:
#1 – 6/8/2010
#100 – 9/17/2010
#1000 – 5/27/2011
After our first five months we began a daily caching streak for a while so things picked up quite a bit after that.
Strange that I cannot see the logo. I can see them on your screen capture Chris, but not when I go to the WGA download page, and even though I have the html code on my pages, I can’t view the WGA logo image on my cache pages, unless I use T&B’s link to a page that doesn’t officially exist anymore. I tried the following just now to see if making changes would result in the images appearing:
– Changed security settings in IE 11 to “Medium” (which is the lowest setting)
– Disabled “protected mode” in security settings
– Changed privacy settings to low
– Disabled pop up blocker
– Verified that “show pictures” is enabled in advanced settings
– Turned on “compatibility view”
None of the above allowed me to see the images, so I changed them back. So I have a workaround that will work for me and me only; I can just link to my cache pages a WGA logo image from my own photo album, or use the link that T&B used that kind of doesn’t exist.
But my main concern is for the many others who view the hundreds of cache pages that have the WGA logo on them, yet like me they cannot actually see the logo. The more people who use the html code at the WGA banners page, may mean the more caches out there where only a portion of users are able to see the logo. Since the old page that T&B used works, why not present that one or others like it on the banners page? The two logo images presented on the banners page can only be viewed by some; the logo image on the old page that still works can presumably be viewed by all.
As an aside, I don’t seem to have problems at other websites viewing pictures, whether banners, pictures, or graphics. Only the WGA logo. I don’t know how widespread this issue is with others.
And here’s what I see on the WGA banners page. Notice that the actual images are not shown. Maybe there isn’t a fix for this. Some people will see the logo, others will not. It is interesting to note that the link to what T&B uses still works. That page must exist somewhere.
