No worries Becca. The “classic” Groundspeak app, even when updated, still has the same features and works the same. At the current time it’s only the “Intro to Geocaching” app that has the changes. For now.
I am glad they are FINALLY fixing the problem where you couldn’t find multis with the phone app. I remember putting that into a comment when the geocaching app first came out back in 2010.
Becca you CAN find multis with the old app. You just can’t with the old INTRO to geocaching app.
Anyone else disappointed with Geocachings Intro App???
When I read your comments here I thought “It’s probably no big deal, the classic paid app is so great, who even uses the intro app except newbies?” Then I followed your link to the GS forums. It seems like GS is discontinuing the paid app. Is that correct or did I misunderstand? I didn’t see a notice of that. For me that IS a big deal since I use the paid app often, much more than my 62S, Oregon 450, or 650 – combined!
Maybe ours isn’t right then. The year is correct, but I don’t remember the month. I knew I shouldn’t have trusted John Sudar.
I wouldn’t trust him either. But Hack1of2, now there’s a guy I would trust…
Does anyone know where you can find the date you joined the WGA? There used to be a membership list that showed it.
Here’s a possible workaround. If you click on your profile, it will show you your registration renewal date (only you can see that part). Assuming you didn’t let your membership lapse, that month and day is the anniversary of when you joined. You only have to know the year you joined to put it all together. Mine says my renewal date is 2016-08-10 . Since I know we joined in 2010, my joining date was Aug 10, 2010.
Scenario: you post in Thread Stealers in the middle of the page and the next time you check in we’re on the next page. Do you back a page to see what you missed?

We’ll continue to send them out (with one to keep). We expect them to eventually go missing, so no worries for us when they do. It’s interesting to see how long they’ll last.
We bought 2 or 3 of each and sent all but one out into the wild for each year. The last one to actually have been logged was a 2010 geocoin in May 2013. It’s presumably somewhere in Europe.
Is that the type Amita received two or three years ago for recognition of her service?
Hey for an almost-retired guy you’re pretty sharp!
Old habits aren’t just for nuns.
It’s been a while since I’ve had an :ftp:
Post 15, now what?

Maybe sometime we can get a photograph of all to lay out what we have created over the years.
Hey, I kind of have one of all of the WGA coins: 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, as well as the 2013 Wisconsin-shaped tag. I could take a nicely lit picture of all of the WGA created coins. I’ve never seen, however, the silver limited edition 2005 version. Now if only I had that one I could get a picture of the entire set… 😉
Actually, there is sort of another. In 2006 a geocoin was made to commemorate the 2006 WGA Campout. It was for an event rather than for the WGA as a whole, but it nicely plugs a hole in the timeline. I’ve only seen a picture of that one.
