Yikes that picture has no EXIF info at all, not even a date, camera model, etc. I checked some other pictures on geocache pages and found that if I am looking at the smaller preview pictures, the EXIF data is blank, but if I click on the picture to make it larger, I can view that data through any EXIF viewer. But for your picture I wasn’t able to view anything. My other theory was to download the picture and view the info embedded in it on software on my computer, but that didn’t yield any info either.
How do I keep the coordinates for a picture I took of a cache in the Exif information when I upload it to the web? I tried putting a picture on an unpublished cache of mine, and then linking to that picture for a puzzle cache. Once I look at the picture’s information the data for the coordinates are gone. I can upload the file from my hard drive directly, and things work perfectly.
Since I’m doing this at work, I’m limited to the photo sharing sites I can access, it that makes a difference…
Can you post a link of a picture that you uploaded that had the EXIF data on it but you cannot see? I’m wondering if there is a different viewer that can be used, and a few other ideas I have in mind…
I usually clear the EXIF data on mine before posting them if it’s a puzzle or multi, but haven’t ever tried to see the data on any pictures I’ve uploaded. Now I’m wondering if that info can be viewed.
I also wish people’s logs were more detailed. I just checked and we average 119 words per online log and a little more than one picture per cache online (7,000+ so far), but admittedly we nowadays usually only write our name and date on the paper logs. When we find a classic cache that involves a long hike and a decent size container, we’re more likely to stay a while and write a nice paper log.
Odd…when I view the cache page I see it. Hmmm… I have been having to pick up the code from old cache pages as the links we have do not work anymore.
Well that’s odd. I can’t see the WGA logo, on ANY geocache pages, in Internet Explorer. But I just tried Mozilla Firefox and I can see it there. Must be some lame security setting with IE. I wonder why it just started happening now? Perhaps a Microsoft update I didn’t know about.
The logo graphic link to the WGA website is no longer visible on any of my cache pages. I noticed that WA’s Winter Solstice III event page has the same problem.
I broke myself today. I don’t think I will be able to drive. I took a cart to the knee while I was prepping a wine display. It is very large and painfully immobile this evening. Hoping it will shrink.
Chris let me know if you need any help on anything, I’m only two minutes away. Maybe three.
Wow it’s been a while since I was in the thread stealers forum. I’ve got to slow down.
It’s just…that it’s…so…nice outsi……
Wow, that’s a whole lotta smileys, congrats!
How come the rat gets one but nobody else does?
Could you post a picture of the Wisconsin Coulee Region Cachers coin please?
Pretty, isn’t it?

OH BABY! I just received an unactivated 2008 WGA “cow” geocoin that I got through eBay. After 5 years of searching I finally have all of the WGA coins issued by year:
2005 gold deer, 2007 lighthouse, 2008 cow, 2010 state shaped, 2011 copper round, 2012 WGA letters, 2013 state shaped cachekinz.
I also have WGA pathtags from 2010 (all 5 colors) and the pathtags from cache bashes of 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014. Need to work on the 2012 bash pathtag. Also recently acquired the Wisconsin Coulee Region Cachers coin.
There wasn’t an annual WGA geocoin issued in 2006, 2009, or 2015, but there was a WGA campout geocoin issued in 2006 that I haven’t ever seen, so there’s hope someday!
I also have pathtags/coins from Youngins3, Ldove, Benny7210, Chewysfolks, Korpl&Greyhounder, Donb01, Sunshine, Redwingrr, and Froggerz. There’s still plenty of ‘tags out there for us to find. We don’t generally collect trackables unless they’re from someone we know or places we’ve visited. But that WGA cow geocoin was possibly my favorite so far!
