I see you found my new one thatās in productionā¦.
I knew you’d notice that!
Quarterly update April 2020.Ā Weāre up to 123 known WGA-ers that have created one or more pathtags, with over 400 different designs minted since pathtags started in 2006.Ā Shown here is one from each Wisconsin geocacher.Ā š

I just saw this message thread today.Ā Although I’m not aware of an Ice Age Trail geocoin ever being minted, we ordered a pathtag about a year or two ago showing the path of the IAT meandering through an outline of Wisconsin.Ā I know of one other geocaching team that also plan on making an IAT pathtag in 2020.

The Ontario reviewers gave notice that they will not be publishing any new caches until further notice.

Hack, what are you doing trying to place caches in Ontario?Ā How did you even get across the border?
Oh, I cover quite a bit of territory… And I maintain my caches too. š

for 03-06-2020 . . . did everyone read the BOD minutes? Not quite sure how I feel about this forum ānot being valuableā. I think its a great way to keep in touch.
Yeah, I wasnāt too keen about that comment.
They must have meant that _____’s comments in here weren’t that valuable.Ā (Insert name of geocacher you wish to burn) š
Annual BOD meeting day.
Ā You all have a lot on your plate.Ā Have fun, and represent well! š
Iām surprised to see so many private groupsā¦.and so many groups in general.
An advantage of a private group is that only members of that group can see the messages.Ā It remains muggle free.
I suspect that if the WGA had created a Facebook group rather than a Facebook page, most of those FB groups would never had even existed; others would be quite small for regional locals only. But as it is right now if someone wants to instantly post a geocaching-related message, one would have to go to one of those above mentioned groups.
The following are Facebook GROUPS.Ā Facebook groups allow members to have instant access to posting messages, creating new topics, reply to messages, and post/create photo albums.Ā It does not include Facebook PAGES (such as the one that the WGA has), which do not allow creation/posting of photo albums or instant access to creating new messages. With pages, however, one can reply to topics already created by the admins.

I wonder if the heat deters people in greater numbersĀ from geocaching in Mississippi (I just had to spell the name of the state; it’s so fun).Ā In WI (it’s not as fun to spell) we can cache year round without discomfort.Ā When it’s cold you just dress warmer.Ā But when it’s hot & humid and 100+ degrees down south for a chunk of the year, many likely stay indoors with air conditioning.Ā Just a guess.Ā I’m not really sure how hot it gets there.
Iāve been around forever, but strayed from the game.
Welcome back!
I recall about 20 years ago Jerry Lee Lewis had a conversion experience and wanted to appear on Jimmy Swaggart’s TV show.Ā I don’t think it ever happened though.
How about these: suggestions:
Geocache Log Photo of the Year ā Picture must be from an online geocache log; it makes it more closely tied to geocaching (but hopefully no spoilers?)
Geocache Log of the Year ā It could make for some fun and interesting reading, and might inspire people to write more creative logs.Ā This could potentially be voted on by the board only or by the general membership.
Congratulations to all of the new board members, thanks to the returning board members for returning, and thank you much to the outgoing board members for your years of service!
