Hack, I have a Mac. And as for those boxed-up items, if they are clothes and can sit around your house for a month, may I suggest GC5NT3H ?
Wow, I didn’t know about this event – sounds great!
Could you repeat that in English, please? (We still have a VCR…
) Explanation #1:
Blah blah blah record blah blah blah. And blah.
Explanation #2:
“IF” you have a TV antenna hooked up to your computer, or a cable (or satellite TV cable) hooked up to your computer, you can use the program on your PC called “Windows Media Center” to view live TV or record shows to watch later.

This is what the TV Guide on Windows Media Center looks like:

Then you select a show/movie to watch or record.
So far I’ve only recorded the series premiere of “The Last Man on Earth” and the movie “Mama Mia.” Never saw that movie but heard it’s good. I also set it up to record the entire season of American Idol, starting tonight.
More useless drivel.
I hope to load up some boxes with “stuff” and drop it off at Good Will today. At least get it in boxes. Maybe the dropping off will be on the weekend.
Time to gather papers and start working on our taxes. I don’t know what to expect. This is my first year of semi-retirement. Don’t know if I’ll owe or get $ back.
I discovered a pretty neat DVR option this week. Windows Media Center on my computer has the option of recording any show or movie that’s on the schedule. I don’t have a $100+ subscription to any cable or satellite co, so I don’t have a traditional DVR to record with. I checked over the weekend what movies were coming up that I could potentially record on my computer with WMC; it had 831 choices. That’s a lot of options. It records them in WTV format. Not sure what will play them other than Windows Media Center on the computer. I know there’s programs out there that will convert WTV to mp4 or avi, so I’ll possibly look into that if WTV won’t play on the TV.
So it looks like there’s at least two (2006 & 2008) that I am trying to track down. It’s always nice to have goals. 😉
There was a 2006 geocoin commemorating the 5th annual geo-campout. Here’s a picture that -cheeto- posted:

Fall picnic is in the NW…
Excellent! We had a great time at the campout when it was in the NW. Looking forward to some NW smileys.
Were there any WGA event pathtags prior to 2013? What about cache ba$h coins or tags?
Oh I am SO envious of that 2008 cow WGA geocoin you won – it’s the only one we don’t have!
I deleted my previous post and then rewrote over it. The first post had pictures WITh tracking codes. All of the above that we own are unactivated.
I didn’t realize that there weren’t any geocoins in 2006 and 2009. If that’s correct that would mean we’ve seen them all! Here’s what has been issued (that we know of) as far as WGA geocoins and Wisconsin-related geocoins and pathtags are concerned. This isn’t including people’s own personal pathtags and geocoins. We’re still tracking some of those down. Hope to some day track down an AuntieNae and a T&B trinket. Gotta work on those. Also we don’t own a 2008 WGA geocoin (we have all the others). We found one in a cache one time but moved it along since it wasn’t ours.

We hope to find them all, it probably will take us another 2 to 3 years. So far we haven’t logged the cache we’re trailbossing, we might do that one last. None found in the northwest yet, we’ll change that this summer!I’ve had I think five Garmin GPSr’s so far (not counting automobile Garmins), but never an eTrex. However, with the others, you simply plug your GPS unit into the computer, go to the GPX folder, and delete the GPX file(s).
02/27/2015 at 11:59 am in reply to: How do you access your geocaching info? Mobile device or computer? #2036376I never use my iPhone to access the WGA site. I do that from home on my computer (pretty much every day). Same thing goes for most geocaching-related websites. However, for finding caches, I’ll often use my smartphone to check out the cache pages, which has led to many satellite views, FTF’s, and additional info that can’t be seen on my Garmin over the years.
“Live Long and Prosper” RIP
One of my childhood favorites is gone. Actually, one of my adulthood faves too.
