Congrats HP2, pretty soon we’re going to run out of lonlies!

Thanks for the tip. I bought 12 geocoins on eBay from a coin supplier almost 2 years ago (he went out of business and apparently was selling off his collection or inventory), all activated 2 to 6 years ago but never traveled or logged. He stated to transfer ownership after shipping, but did not and never replied to repeated requests. So I’ve been sitting on them for a long time not quite sure what to do with them. We don’t really collect many geocoins – we’d prefer to send them into the wild and see how far they’ll travel and how long they’ll survive. Having them in a drawer doesn’t do much for us.
I’ll have to try the Groundspeak option!
Done.

For me the secret of photography is to take many pictures, and hope for a couple good ones.
Have some great caching pictures? Please share your favorites with us!]
I have about a 20-way tie for favorite, but here’s some of them:

I’m not afraid of the Bears, now that Brian Urlacher is sidelined. By the way, I hear that the main reason that Iowa doesn’t have a professional football team is because then Minnesota would want one too. 😉
I’ve never been to a WGA campout. Could someone give me a brief description of what takes place? And do people stay in cabins, tents, RVs, etc.? :arf:

The SD cards can be moved from unit to unit.
Good to know. A few months ago our Garmin Oregon died (2 years old, about 3,000 caches). We got a new one, but could not load our 1-1/2 year old City Navigator maps on it from the installation DVD because they’re specific to one GPSr serial number only. Garmin said we would have to buy a new City Navigator map for that unit. Our other GPSr, a GPSmap62S, has a microSD card with City Navigator on it. So if correct, the City Navigator maps on a DVD are not transferrable but the City Navigator maps on a microSD card are transferrable.

ES,
Can you clarify something for me… Is your City Navigator the DVD version or microSD version? If you have the chip created by Garmin, there isn’t an unlock code, you can move it to as many GPS’s as you want. Can anyone confirm this? If you have a CityNavigator map on a microSD card for a Garmin unit, can you move it from unit to unit and it will still work? We have a DVD version of CityNavigator, which can only be used once, on one GPSr.
We’ve given lots of VHS movies away as swag in caches. We put them in a baggie for protection from the elements. There’s plenty of people who still have VCRs, although we haven’t used ours in a long time.
On a related note we also put DVD movies that we no longer want in caches. The best DVD we ever found in a cache was Pirates of the Caribbean.
Way to go HP!!
Ours came also. No tracking number on the big coin; just on the little one. Maybe we’ll drill a hole in the big one and attach a TB tag!
We’ve done well over 100 of the challenges and really liked them. They took us to places where we’ve never been, gave us fun and variety, strengthened our marriage, and helped keep our relationship playful. Just like another game I can think of. That’s what it is, or was, all about. We will mourn their passing but we’ll get over it.

Tried that but she hadn’t done a restore point before she messed with things so that wasn’t any help…
Normally restore points are automatically created, she wouldn’t have had to manually create a restore point. But if you’re sure there aren’t any… and system restore is disabled, then WStemple’s suggestion sounds like the best course of action. AND THEN TURN ON/ENABLE SYSTEM RESTORE for next time. 🙂
If the world ends on the 21st, that still gives me time to see The Hobbit. 🙂
One of many solutions is to run system restore. It’s on all PC’s. It will restore your system settings to an earlier date when everything was working.
