My family puts out the caches to give back. I honestly didn’t think some of the caches would get published

Thanks all of you for your input. We are trying to find good places to hide but most are taken

Gotta run have you been to Derks park in Appleton? The cache is at least 500 ft from the play ground equipment. Not every park hide is in the play ground equipment.

Hey David I’ve only seen one near a sandbox. LOL

I got to thinking. My hides would benfit people like me. I have a toddler and when the older ones are at school I can’t cache in the woods or do mystery or multicaches. I can only do residentail ones.

    Your attitude affects the game

You don’t read the older posts do you

Your being what you think of me. Now stop. I did talk to the owners or neighbors of there owners of the terraces of the caches in question and they know of them. The problem is from people like you who think your way to cache is the only way to. Have respect for the game to let mt family cache the way we do. If you don’t like that then stop caching.

Just remember I can please some of the people all of the time, but I can’t please all of people all of the time.

I’ve seen enough and heard enough support for me to stick to my guns on this. I hope you realize I am not taking this litely. Being realitively knew to this (just over 300 caches found) I find it frustrating to find “suitable” hiding spots. We are trying to make “harder” hides. My daughter likes the hides she help create. Thank you for your input, but I guess I can’t please everyone all the time

I understand your points Muggle B, Cheeto, and who ever are against these kind of hides. The problem isn’t the hides always sometimes it is the finders not using common sense. I realize that, that is easy to say, but in essence it is the truth. If people go to these hides and shake a arrow sign because they dropped the nano down the back in view of everyone that will cause the police to arrive. If you walk down the street with the family and have the kids locate it probably won’t raise much alarm. If the cache neighbor doesn’t like it on the public land called a terrace then I will remove them, but not if another cacher is upset with me.(on that note, to who ever took apart my cache and left it for a muggle to find please stop)

The game is meant for everyone not just people who like to walk in the woods. I know some of you are single and I know some of you have a family, but all of you enjoy some aspect of this game which is why you play.

I know where that puzzle one was. I just wish that the person in charge of publication of new caches would have a better map.

On another note, we are attempting to contact land owners to get permission.

First my term go getter is to the people who “shake the sign to remove it” (that is from the resident who complained about it). I originally had a nano there and it was stolen on the first day. I was going to wait to buy a new one or make one but my wife was furious some one was careless. The other one was strategically placed so that it wasn’t on there property with no trespassing. Groundspeak did have concerns at the precise coordinates on that. I had to use Google maps mine and my wife’s GPS to ensure accuracy. I personally have gotten to a GZ and had to pass a no trespessing sign just to get to it from the road.

If you could please check or recheck my http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC2y181&Submit6=Go
I recently upgraded the container to be more hidden. It isn’t an urban hide. Only the cows to be muggles.

And if you want to cache sometimes my family would love extra help with the supposed kid friendly ones that the kids can’t find( me neither for that matter)

ps talk to the cranky old man at Squirrel says “Its your tree” he is a friend. He is getting his grandsons into geocaching.

I happen to place all of the caches on the terrace which is public land. I happen to have one on my front terrace so that we can socialise with other cachers. Most of them were placed with the neighbours knowledge of what it is. Some even know me personally and I acknowledge them in the description or name. Yes some people don’t undrstand the impact of having one near them. (I do try to warn them) They were designed for family walks in the neighbourhood. The biggest problem with these are the “go getters” who have to have a cache so bad that they make an A$$ of themselves looking for it. I have had to apologise for them counts of times on the trail. If you want to have hate do it toward that attitude. If you don’t like my hides don’t look for them. It will reduce traffic to those caches and everyone will be happy.

I am working on better descriptions though to address this issue
