Am planning on May 18th weekend to do Power Island, contact me if interested, have 2 others interested so far.
sent you an email
Congrats redwingrr– Sue and Dick on 100 earthcaches-way to go!! Looks like you had a great time in Hawaii!!
Welcome from Fond du Lac.
Congrats Marie-way to go!
I still don’t get my notifications of finds on my caches but get notifications of new caches! Doesn’t make sense as they both go to the same e-mail address. I’ve written to them and they say they were sent, but not even in my junk folder! What’s going on????
What should I be using instead of the default PQ geaocaches???? Thanks,
No, it doesn’t have the maximum # of waypoints. I use gsak, would it be better to download right from the computer? I’m not that great with computer stuff when it gerts really complicated!!! Thanks, Renee

We are new to this event-have been caching since last fall but would like to know more about how we go about doing this event. Is there a way to hook up with others that have done this befor? We”ll be there at noon on Friday to download the caches and staying for the whole weekend. any help or info would be appreciated, Thanks
Hi,
I think you’ll have a great time at the event! Just come to Regner Park and we’ll get you signed in with your official booklet and playing card and download the new caches into your GPSr. Most people try to find just the 50 new caches to earn stamps and raffle tickets, but other teams just geocache around the West Bend area like normal.
As far as hooking up with other teams, you may be able to meet other teams or find somebody here in the forums to meet up with. Otherwise, we plan to have a “Buddy Board.” Basically, if you want to partner up with somebody, you can write your name and cell phone number on a post-it and put it on the board. If somebody else also wants a buddy, they can take your note and give you a call. Or if you see a note, you can take it and call. It will be our first year trying this method.
Friday evening is the Meet and Greet at Regner Park and hopefully there will be teams there to socialize with to makes plans for Saturday.
Hope that helped a little? Let me know if there’s anything more specific.
Anne
Thanks fo the info,, this may be a dumb question, but won’t there be several people at GZ at one time if we are all looking for the 50 caches??? Will we be getting a map of the city streets? Sometimes when I do a PQ, the ones on my gps are deleted when I add a new one, if I do one for the caches in the West Bend area before I come, will they stay on my gps when you download the 50?? I have a Garmin Oregon 300. Thanks for your help!!!
