this is really cool!
I noticed you have a separate area for series, and being a fan of series, I can’t wait for more of them to be listed on there! There’s no easy way on geocaching.com to find all the parts to a series, really, especially if the names are only loosely related, like the waterfowl seed cache set (goosey venus et al). And there are quite a few series out there!
Personally, I’m looking forward to doing more of the waterfall series. I’m also looking forward to better weather and more visits to the Lessons series

What county was it in?

i checked out that special; it’s $50 after both rebates, and there’s no way to get it for $20. Still, you get a gps unit with streetfinder software, so i ordered one. now i have to upgrade my palm.
Sorry. Can’t call in sick. I dropped dead at work saturday night after being up til three and getting back up at 6 to host the breakfast. i put in three hours at work and pretty much fell over dead. And you better believe i caught $&*! for it today.
btw take a look at when this post is being left. i JUST got home from work! Now if I can pull twelve-hour shifts seven days a week until then, maybe the boss will let me go to madison. (but then, will i have the strength to cache?)
there’ll be another event soon. with so many wonderful friends out there on the trails, i do find the events hard to resist. i’ll see all of you soon, ok?
It’s not difficult at all, really. you DO need to know basic HTML tags to do it, because you have to make the description in HTML.
For Lessons in Modern Cartography, for example, I used a background image of a generic map. First thing I did was upload an image. You can upload an image into a cache page, or you can upload it into your gallery, if you want to use it on more than one page. Then you should click on the image to see what the path is. You need to know the image path.
Here’s the code part that i put in for Lesson 5, simplified to show the important html bits:
Lesson #5: Cleanup.a paragraph of description of the cache.
another paragraph of description.
more description.
and some more description.

I have to work that day. Dangit.
Congratulations GeoPink! We were thrilled you could share your milestone with all of us at breakfast!
i feel the same way about that one. on saturday let’s see if anyone else wants to go after it. the other one that stumped me was ‘you cant be serious’ but i think that one is shut down for the winter.
Yeah…i should probably go to sleep too…
i stumbled upon a cache at the nature center where i worked, right before i left it to be a cartographer full-time. symbolic? maybe.
it was two years, however, until i bought a gps unit and started caching.
a month later i hit 100 caches.
a month after that, i hit 200 caches.
the holidays slowed me down, and now ive decided to hibernate, mostly, until warm weather. Ironically, I chose to host an Event Cache in the bitter cold! ROFL!
well, with a breakfast in manitowoc in just over a week, i can almost guarantee you’ll get lots of visitors! the current head count for January Thaw is 25.
Dave,
January Thaw is on Saturday the 10th, 9 AM, at Country Kitchen in Manitowoc. Are we still gonna count it as a holiday party? that might be fun!

We are so sorry to hear of your great loss, and our hearts are with you, as they have been during the duration of this difficult time.
Where may we send our sympathy cards?
congratulations!
We thought about every one of you as we set the table this year, and next year when we set the table again, we would love to have a few more people at it–specifically, our caching friends. Consider this an invitation to join us at our place next year!
