Here’s two cents worth from a newbie. After researching as best I could, I purchased a Magellan Meridian basic w/ Map and Streets software. The price was right (gpsonsale.com) and it had the features I though I would like. I added 64MB of memory to make use of the Map and Streets software purchased with the Meridian. I’ve located about 6 or 7 caches so far. The Meridian has led me to them with what I consider amazing accuracy. Most cache have been right at my feet. I’ll loose signal in heavy cover from time to time. I’m impressed with the detail of the Maps and Streets software and generally pleased with the unit and feel I got my money’s worth. Then again I’ve never used anything else.
