Just noticed that we somehow got credit for caching in Ak, Alaska. Just wish we could go there…so far it’s only been Ar, Arkansas
Jeff – Hotdogs Off TrailWhat a tough choice to have to vote for only 5 people. We are honored to have such a diverse group willing to run for the Board of Directors. I want to thank all the candidates for running, and hope they will continue to present new ideas to improve the Wi-Geocaching Association. Thanks.
We went out on the Ice Age Trail today. Marked well and enjoyed breaking our own trail…..saw noone and loved the tranquility. Check for a trail segment near you. Or any park trail that isn’t groomed for x-country.
Jeff L.“Two slips on ice and a tumble down a hill” …..I wonder where that could have been. I wanted to do another Caching Through the snow, but bonnie said everyone would remember that little “hill” and noone would show up. You did well!! And congratulations and best of luck on your new year of geocaching!
Add at least one Hotdog to your helper list. Do you think it would be advantagious to give the Scout leaders any advance info to prepare the Cubs a little??
Jeff – Hotdogs Off Trail
We’ve left one of ur namesake little plastic “hotdogs” in most of the 400+ caches that we’ve visited so far, but I’m getting worried about running out. I’ve had this supply for over 20 years, and can’t seem to find a new source yet.
Hotdogs Off TrailAs I see many ammo cans in the woods, I think they should not remain the army green. We spray paint our ammo cans before using them, and they hopefully become more user friendly when found by the unsuspecting.
Hotdogs Off TrailWell we’re back in Wisconsin and you can put the Hotdogs Off Trail down for two seed-pickers. Murray wanted to gather only sticky ones that he would find, but I didn’t think that would be the best idea. See you all there.
Although I’ve never camped at Sky High, I have been there and it’s a nice campground with a view from the top of Cascade Mountain. I think you’ll enjoy staying there.
Each day this event sounds better and better. We are sorry to have to cancel out at this late date. The Hotdogs have another commitment that has come up rather quickly, and has demanded our attention this weekend. Sorry to miss everyone, have a great day!!! We’ll be thinking of you.
The Hotdogs are planning on attending – Add 2…See you all there.
We also enjoy highpointing. Pre geocahing we did the highest in Wisconsin, of course, Virginia, and South Dakota…2nd highest in New York, only 50 feet less but we were pressed for time. Since geocaching we’ve revisited Mt. Harney in South Dakota and Taum Sauk Hill in Missouri. Whenever possible we try to get the high points. Don’t look back, someone may be gaining on you.
You can count the Hotdogs in for a couple hides on the 17th. Will also be available for anything else needed for the temp hides. We’ll also bring a couple donations for the drawings.
I hate to have to bump anyone, but we cached in Arkansas in 3-22-02 at KP #2.
The Hotdogs have cached-in on four new states – Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, & Michigan in the recent past. And as a note, we cached our first Arkansas in March of 2002.
