What’s the wimp level here?
Someone who knows me, please respond: Thumbs up or thumbs down for us on these?
(Maybe Linda could use some help with the hot chocolate instead.)Don’t know about ‘Expedition’, but you’ll have fun on Wet Maze. The cold weather should firm up the ice, and with a few others cutting trail, it shouldn’t be a tough walk. If the grasses/’tails are down, you’ll also get a good view.
If you catch a whiff of something that causes you to expect an “Excuse Me” from someone, then there is likely a bit of open water nearby – yes, the marsh gas there really does smell like that…………… 😳 🙂

Macro mapcounties.gsk on GSAK calls it as Adams County, if that helps, or not 🙂 🙂
Yes, that helps. I will call it an Adams County cache.
GC2NV4V . . . This one definitely looks like Wood County (and I’ve always thought of it as Wood), but the given latitude is farther south than that of the other one! Must have to do with the curve of the earth or something…
GSAK sez WOOD be GOOD!

Can check for another macro if you don’t like the answer 8)
(Mapquest, via zuma!’s advice, appears to show it south of the border as well…….but the Mapquest map in GSAK shows the opposite, but the Google map in GSAK shows it south of the border again…………)

Many Thanks! 🙂 🙂
Question: For these ‘chopper mitts’, do you buy them sized per spec, or go up one size for extra room? E.g. If the size chart comes out as Large, do you get a Large, or XL….so you have the option to use an internal glove, and perhaps an additional polypro or other ‘stay dry’ liner? Thx ❓
See, they sold out cuz they’re just so perfect! 😎
More like this, or the more economical knit versions……….

Fingerless gloves that have a mitten cover that folds over fingers to keep you warm in between signing logs
Have a pair, and made the mistake of driving with the mitten part flipped up………it was like magic! Everyone started waving back as we drove down the street. People are so friendly in the Midwest! (It made us look like we were constantly waving……ya had to be there 🙂 🙂 )

Chopper mittens with thin glove liners.
Allows you to keep the mittens on most of the time but quickly manipulate your GPSr when you need to. That presumes that your GPSr has buttons or a pressure screen rather than one that needs a conductive touch to operate.
Could just be a brown jersey glove or something similar. . .
If this helps, use ‘touchscreen gloves’ such as these:
Timely topic! Here’s a short thread from a few years back. http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=12028&highlight=winter+friendly
We, too, expect (hope like heck) that the symbol means the container is up, and more often than not, it is; but that is not always the case. And remember those Finds in the warmer times of year, when the container is found ‘out in the open, and on the ground’? Even containers placed high and dry can end up on the ground, adding to the challenges of winter.
Good luck, have fun, and enjoy your experiences out there! 🙂 🙂
A sincere thanks!!! 🙂 🙂
Many, many thanks, TBC! Thanks for keeping us connected! We non-adopters of FB, thought 12-21-12 finally arrived! 🙂 🙂
