I guess members of the Dirtbag Geocaching Society play by their own rules…
Actually, the DGS looks legit. http://www.dirtbaggeocachingsociety.com/ They even have a Great Lakes Chapter.
The ones under discussion here might be members of the Scumbag………………………………….

Just like blocking someone on facebook.
Kinda like using a Greasemonkey script to block the facebook login button from gc.com 😈
Likely not, as that could be considered a form of boycotting, which is strongly discouraged……just a top-of-mind thought.
As long as we can get cellular reception, we use our smartphone and geocaching app for impromptu checks for caches in the surrounding area. This works well for situations such as you’re describing here, or while traveling on/off road, and finding ourselves with some extra time, such as when staying overnight in some strange land………….
Pre-planning and loading up our GPSr ahead of time, doesn’t work well if you don’t know where you’re going……………………… 🙂 🙂

Peninsula park has it all. Swimming, hiking, miles and miles of bike trails. Close enough to town if you need a diversion for the day–take a bike ride and get ice cream. Protected inlet for canoeing/kayaking, along with watercraft rental if you don’t own them. Paddle out to Horseshoe Island and find the cache (and a letterbox 😉 ). Catch a play in the outdoor theatre at night right in the park, or take a short drive to the Skyway drive-in. Can’t go wrong.
Letterbox? Letterbox? Now we’ll need to go back out there, which is a good thing! Peninsula has always been our favorite. And the surrounding area is loaded with a lot of other adventures! And go-karts! 🙂 🙂
Be sure to publish a ‘5/3 Event CHALLENGE Cache‘ ahead of time (FIVE-EVENTS over THREE-DAYS), and watch the phooners come out of the woodwork! 🙂 🙂

It would be good practice to always ‘close out’ a request with a documented record of how the Rescue Mission was resolved.
Can this please be made ‘standard practice’?
This may be an example where a cache is added to the list, and then removed without record. We’ve found this happen on several occasions in the past, which makes it hard to be sure whether a Rescue Mission is still active, and if not: why not/what happened to it?

rays of dazzling sunshine, that
This be of use to you, and to others under different adventure-planning situations. It is menu driven. It was developed by a Scout Leader……..think there might be one or two around here. (Maybe they can help improve the site by adding ‘geocaching’ as an activity 😉 )
Wilderness Pack Lists: http://www.scoutlists.com/ 🙂 🙂
The round one is the Emil Ast spring house, constructed of hand-mixed concrete, and reinforced with barbed wire. Here’s a little article that should appeal to the “Mother Earther” in the reader, should they be so inclined. Peace!

( Hey ZB! When you recover, pay attention to the engineering details here! )

No picking intended. Apologies if it was taken that way.
Your caches are getting wilder and ‘wilder’ each and every year…… that’s it, right? 😯

. . .And thanks to Team Deejay for adding it back on the LCG list so that I could get my points. One of these days I’ll figure out how all of this works, right? 😆
Is that why it showed up again on the CR listing? Thought perhaps you pulled the wrong container – whoops! 😯 jk
