We always click on ‘Cancel’, which then just loads in the entire state without zooming in. Then just zoom in to your area of interest from there. 🙂 🙂
This won’t give you a PQ, but it will show you the caches of another: go to: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/default.aspx ,
and enter their name into the “Hidden by Username:” box at bottom left, and then punch ‘GO’. Good luck!Hypothetically……if one were to stumble across a published geocache, and believe it to be in some sort of violation, should that ‘one’ report such potential violation? And if so, how and to whom? Hypothetically, of course.

. . . What if the WBCB committee chose not to put out new caches, . . .
Now why would they do that?
So many caches and so many people and so very little time………. Can understand both ends of the spectrum.
Really don’t consider getting all the Ba$h’s caches as ‘power caching’, nor do we have the itch to get any FTF’s. Rather, it’s more about sampling one huge, varied and limited-time smorgasbord of caches. Kind of like attending a trade show, where talented CO’s gather to showcase their craft. And we love free samples! There always seems to be a great variety in the offerings, certainly a lot of effort and creativity put into the caches, and indeed a lot of connections and memorable moments to be had out on the trails.
Hope to make it back, and find every creative, crazy, and challenging cache that’s placed specifically for the Event. 🙂 🙂
Oh, and the prizes? No lock (er, luck) so far, but that’s not why we attend. If you don’t expect to win, and you can’t be disappointed. 😉

Do folks really lose satellite reception under a canopy, totally? Or is that just another way of saying the GPRs is bouncy like crazy, and taking you on staggered path?
We have a Garmin 60, I think it is, that always loses reception completely. We consider it a bad purchase and rarely get it out. . .
Thanks! Think that would be very frustrating, and could also be very scary. Wonder how far one could be thrown??

Have used both the Etrex Vista and Oregon, but never at the same time, so can’t say that one is better than the other….BUT, have never totally lost satellite signal with either. OK, truth be told, there is one exception: lost signal with the Oregon when inside into a cave.
Congrats CJ! Well Done! The first time we ever saw the name ‘CodeJunkie’, was when we pulled out the log from a memorable and lonely Kinas Duo cache, and spotted that name and the ‘CJ Smiley’. Glad you got it!
(and now the cat’s out of the bag! Never knew this cache existed.)

Almost looks like it could mean Geocaching with my Wife. I looked at that teams last 4 or 5 logs and all are cryptic in nature. 😯
Reached same conclusion. Look more like personal notations that were turned into logs. Other examples, png (For a png), gcwmb=’got cache with my bike’ or ‘geocaching with mountain bike’, etc…………. Not ROT/ceasar.
But HAH! Got your attention! Gotta remember that…………. 🙂 🙂
Looks like Palm Desktop 6.2 might help extend the usefulness of your Zire with Vista or Win7, but it looks like it’s putting off the inevitable. Might want to play with it on a snowy day. 🙂 HP bought Palm’s WebOS, and then abandoned it.

Looks like the above only helps up through Windows XP. Here’s a Google search for approaches if you have Windows 7 [ search: palm zire 31 windows 7 driver ] . Tweak the search for Vista.

Will this help?
Ummmmmmmm, try cleaning the screen, and make sure you do not have a screen protector on?
