Not sure if you are able to get the cartridge to load OK into WhereYougo on Android, without transferring from your PC. If not, the route I use invovled 1) download Firefox browser. 2) Install’ Download All Files’ and us it with Firefox. 3) Download the cartridge from WhereIgo website, using the PC format, using Firefox/Download all Files, and storing the cartridge into the WhereYougo folder. Fire up WhereYouGo program, and the new cartridge/game should appear as an option to play.
Just as when using a Garmin for WhereIgo, remember to save your game and restart it often, just in case there is a hickup.
Good Luck! Some WhereIgo’s work like a charm, and some far from it. Touchy buggers.

Is that duct tape? 😮
Yes! Good for 6 hours of caching on steep, grassy terrain, during a trip out west. Found ourselves with nothing but ‘street clothes”, time, and a bunch of great hillside caches nearby, set in the midst of some nasty grasses, the likes we’d never seen before. But it was hot, and even though it worked in a pinch to seal out the foxtails, the heat melted the adhesive holding together sections of the soles on ‘our’ running shoes. Thought about taping the pieces back on, but in the end, just put them in our pockets and waddled on semi-soled shoes. Awkward. Fun! And worth it! 😀

. . . One of the things I do when we find one is report it found and will post a simple TFTC using my phone. I do this so when I get home I am able to log on and easily locate our finds and then update the log with a little more detail.. . .
For what it’s worth, we’ll sometimes take the same approach as you, but add our intent to add more to the log in the future; something like: “TFTC from the road, more to come………..” We find it invaluable while on the road, in an unfamiliar area, where we’ll use our phone to tag/log our finds. It really helps verify/remember which caches we’ve found. 😀
09/10/2011 at 9:06 pm in reply to: Please help us decide: Groundspeak’s Geocaching Android App #1953036Thanks for the insights and advice! Tried using c:geo today for several ‘Park caches’, but got off to a rough start. Always a learning curve, here compounded by trying to navigate the new app, and the new phone itself. Had ‘preloaded’ and ‘sat viewed’ the caches before going, as we knew what we’d be going after. The compass told us where to go, but the distance was sporadic. Sounds alot like the gps issues in the other thread by sandman. Probably geocache app independent. Ended up using the map view for this run. Have now loaded in an app that provides a detailed view of the gps state.
Tried logging with the virt. QWERTY, but fat fingers make “.” look like a very tempting log to send……..the ‘dark side’ of logging is very tempting
Is it going to rain?
Fleet Farm has a “.50 cal ammo box” in Today’s weekly insert for $9.99. Since haven’t been to the store, not sure if this is their ‘big one’, of their ‘small one’.
Photo of box says: 840 CRTG 5.56MM Ball – M555 10 Round Clips LC-08A382-411
You may want to avoid the ‘link’ route, as they inevitably break – you want your cache to stand on its own for years, right? A description of the video you want finders to watch, along with guidance on how to find it, should be sufficient and more durable. If it adds a tad to the difficulty, kick up the D-rating a notch. Just a thought. 🙂
