Thanks for the update on the IAT improvements, and kudos to ZB! Last time I took the trail down to 2nd Ave was back in the late ’80’s by mountain bike……back when it was not frowned upon as there were no conflicts yet, and therefore no signage to explain the rules. Anywhoooooo, recently took the trail from windfelt lane down to Murry Loop, and could see how the trail has changed in that direction, though it likely changed even more up and through the park? Really liked the new stairs to the south, but not sure if they are in the Park or the Barrens. Also ran through part of the Iola segment from T to Krogwold. Nice to see the trail improvements there, but did note that some things have not changed: trail closure due to landowner request, per the signs. Too bad. Not sure if/how the landowners are compensated, or if trail users tend to be a bother. Would think they’d at least get a box of chocolates or maple sugar candy (even better!) for Christmas……………. Agree that Hunter333 has a lot of nice caches along the trail and in the park., and growing. Skunk and Foster is a nice place for their IAT field-solve puzzle.
Take Care!
. . . Hiked on the IAT segment that ZB helped build in October of 2015.
Is this the Murry Creek Loop? Literally ran into it a few weeks ago, and was completely surprised as it does not yet appear on the IAT on-line map, though it is included in the Waupaca Co. Chapter’s pdf map [ even though it is in Waushara Co….. 🙂 ]
Hmmmmmmmmmm……………………………….still plenty of time 😉 😉
Have fun!
And don’t forget to give back by clearing out the Cache Rescues!

These are the closest we have visited. Going somewhere else? The others are out west and range from 1500 – 4200 miles away.
100 caches…..add that to all the new caches on N&S Poe, and it makes for a nice long caching bike ride to Malin for a ‘pop’, and then back again!
In the POS or better department: https://klamath.craigslist.org/search/sss?sort=rel&query=tacoma
This needs a tow and an engine and 50 trips to town for tools and parts, and will disrupt your caching, but……..

Looks like a sweet ride for the cascades, sierras and deserts in between
Android + c:geo app is our preferred geotool, preferred now over our garmin oregon (main advantage of garmin is battery life, which is important for a multi-day trek, otherwise carry battery pack for Android during day treks)
Perhaps the paid version of the app you are using is a sufficient step up?
Good Luck

We found an ammo can on 3/28/12. Not sure what’s up with the peanut butter jar. Though we only had a blurry photo of the container and hide, we uploaded it to our log for reference. Good luck! It’s a nice place to be brought to!

Randy, Our Geodog buddy came from the Klamath Animal Shelter. She says she misses the hills.
Great! Enjoy & Take Care!
Actually, I think this is an IR sensor, so should just need to keep the ‘light’ out……..a tight-fitting umbrella of sorts?
Think you’re on the right track……. Since we only tried it with a magazine, perhaps mo bigga, mo thicka, mo betta? A copy of ‘Idiot’s Guide to Geocaching?’
RF shielding is what you’re after……..any foil hats around? Or something like this: BRAIN COAT RF Shielding for Your Mind ==> https://www.etsy.com/listing/204730014/brain-coat-rf-shielding-for-your-mind?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_b-clothing-other&utm_custom1=0c7dfe14-0cd5-9dc8-d351-00006cc86fa2&gclid=CLiM0e7o3soCFQEEaQodTvgLbw
If all else fails… open the TV up, find the blue wire (or is it red?), and give it a snip 😉
Best of luck!
I don’t need the remote for the one used as a monitor but I do for the TV so I can get by but it has the potential to become very irritating.
Have/can you cover the receiving sensor on the front of the Vizio you are using as your monitor….electrical tape or camo tape? It is most likely on the lower right front (not sure what Model you have), and might not be visible.
You can locate it by using something large at first to cover up the sensor while using your remote, for example, a magazine pressed tight to the set…..best to be tight to ensure the RF signal does not sneak around what you are using to block the sensor.
If this does not work, try to enlist Google as your friend. For example, to locate the sensor, Google-ing ‘vizio E260MV remote sensor location’ led me to an image which in turn led me to the owners manual…..
Hope this helps.
500!
