Thought about placing a series of caches on this same trail. Not sure if I should due to the plentiful ticks. Thoughts?
A themed series would be nice!
“Ticked Off”
“Tick Tock”
“Tick-et To Cache”
“Tickazilla”
Could there be any more???? Naw……………………….We’ll come………….in January……. 😈

So….you want parking coords to all those lonely caches in Sawyer county? I think there is gonna be a bunch next month.
Sounds like fun! Up in the forests, a passable road that’s on a map will do to get us close! Mountain bikes are at the ready as well!
Now let’s see, need to check that tick-map we grabbed from another thread…that’s part of the challenge, right? Like dressing up to cache through 3 feet of snow, only different….must be some sort of Spanx anti-tick wear or the like we can use…….. 😈
Like HeliDood has done, we really like it when the Parking Coordinates are INCLUDED AS WAYPOINTS. We know it is a bit more work, but likely much more effective.
It’s so much easier when they are automatically loaded into the GPSr with the cache location, we’re much for likely to use them! If they are just mixed in with the cache description text, we may miss them, or give them less weight.
Thanks!
Google Maps has oodles of gadgets for playing:
GO TO > http://maps.google.com/
CLICK ON “MY MAPS” upper left
CLICK ON “BROWSE THE DIRECTORY”
CLICK ON “POSITION FINDER” on the far upper right, and Add it,
[also notice all the other toys to play with; for example, the “Elevation Contours” app will give you elevation as well]then click on “Back to Google Maps” upper left
(note that you can change the coordinate display format)This will now show up as an item under “My Maps” > “created by others”
===========================================hopefully these instructions all work, and you find what you are looking for
Congratulations on reaching this milestone! And a very special way to share it! Best wishes for many more smileys to come! 😀
As in: small Ziploc bags for logs, etc.? 2″X3″ and up, yes? Thanks
Congratulations K Spud, on the Wild 5K!
Now, where can one get a pair of those special rubber boots, that are both Eagle Source-tested, and K Spud-approved?Same here, but our robins are ornery! Ground is too frozen to let the juicy worms through.
Congratulations on your milestone, ZB, and for going after it on a tough turf challenge, to boot!
Mo evil, Mo betta! 😈 😀

b) The WGA has been recently approved as an official distributor of Groundspeak, Inc. This will allow us to sell Groundspeak items at events (like the popular Signal) at a profit. Thanks to Renee for working on this, and details will be complete by the time of our campout.
zumaPretty sure this isn’t an original thought for a website such as this, but where does the WGA stand on non-pesky website advertising, such as used on GC.com? If marketing is a hassle, you could merely accept those pre-approved by GC.com for their use…with the addition of a dash of local flavorings. Their approach seems pretty successful at bringing ads of value to geocachers, without being intrusive.
Here’s a link to GC.com’s approach: http://www.geocaching.com/about/advertising.aspx
Not trying to draw away any business, T&B, but for those that are looking for a rental , we’ve had good luck with “Nature Treks” in the Stevens Point area, located by Iverson Park, and the intersection of I39 & WI 10. We’ve used their canoes on the Plover and Wisconsin Rivers.
They also provide shuttle services for a fee. Heck, you dream up what you want in services and rentals…and mid-voyage picnic and spa?…..and they’ll probably pull the ‘how-to’ together and quote you a price.
You might be able to work out a group rate. 😉
Congratulations on reaching this milestone!!! Time for a breather?? Nope, didn’t think so! Keep having fun on the hunt!! 😛

Thanks everyone! We had a blast. Being out there with the waders really gave me spring fever. I would love to have walked the whole way back in the stream.
Hey Jay,
come May, let’s put the GPSrs away for a day and walk this stream with a pole for a while. You’re on.
We foresee a submersible, “Take a Splash in the BackWatrz” series, streaming out soon, and available to be snagged by mid-summer. Can’t wait! It will be simply evil! 😈
Congratulations on you Gold Medal Accomplishment!!
