Welcome!!!
With the new snow, it’s NIKE season again……………………….. just follow the trial …………

I saw several come and go today…..two attempts to archive from Germany ….different names – one with good English & one not so much – …..and another log seemed to be of an ‘astronaut’ who went to the station and logged it…had photos to prove it….all went pooof!
02/03/2010 at 7:18 pm in reply to: How many points for this one? It DOES pass over Wisconsin. #1921447Let’s see……hmmmmmmm…. Darn! Thought we did that one in December and possibly forgot to log it!
It’s now on the bucket list, right after GCG822,
which was placed 2300 meters below the surface of the ocean, at the prettiest Hydrothermal Vents you’ll ever see… Road trip sign-up sheet, for a trip on a Russian Mir Submersible, will be posted soon.Recently we’ve been encountering more and more Slippery, Slidey, Slanty Slopes as we have been hitting trails that are hard-packed and ice-coated from the rains a few weeks back. Nastier than walking on flat ice. Good luck and balance and seeking the crunchy stuff have been the short-term solutions. MuddyBottoms’ route sounds like a good, fast and economical fix. Thinking we might be making a habit of it in the coming years, we’ve been starting on our “Christmas wish-list” for next year, and have been looking at something gnarly like the following: http://www.amazon.com/Kahtoola-MICROspikes-Pocket-Traction-System/dp/B0030I3Y48/ref=pd_sim_dbs_sg_5
see also the items down the page under ‘Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed’.
The above is not an endorsement of any product, but more of a source of ideas and awareness of the sort of products and approaches available to enable safe ice trekking.
Be safe, and have fun!
Congratulations WalkingAdventure! Thanks for showing the way! 😀
Just the intimidating presence of a formidable opponent. 😈
Night caching is a police magnet.
Night caching with a weapon is, likely, room and board.Congratulations to you both! But with the two of you together on a long hunt, with endorphins and creative thoughts flowing freely, Lord only knows what sort of clever..and evil…new hides your combined forces schemed up! 😈
Thank you all very, very much! No, really, sincerely, honestly!
We’ve been in WI for, um, a bunch of winters, and this LCG pursuit has given us the most enjoyable winter month we’ve had……..since we were kids? Naw, since ever! It’s really been a great winter run of fun!Now we expect CJ to come out Feb 1 with both barrels a-blazing!
😀 😀
We too could not load the map mid-day, but can load it now.

The guidelines do not specify this and I am aware of some that go many miles, even in your neck of the woods.
We aren’t aware of any here, but must not have run into them yet. Are they Amazing?
Twisted Question: Is there a maximum distance allowable between stages of a multi?? E.g. 1 Mile? 10 Miles? 100 Miles?

So I’m relatively new to the “naming” but am concerned because nobody is yet defending my border. I’ll be happy to start defending, but the “theme” …
Little Cache on the Prairie?
Down Yonder?
Amishton?
We found this one indescribably beautiful, 8O, but did make an attempt to describe it in our Dec 19th log: Olivine (Mg,Fe)SiO4 – DP/EC38 GC1M15H . Recently ranked among the top 10 global Earthcaches by Earthcache.org.
Quite difficult to get to – getting to the Island on years of saving up paper route money is the easy part.
Goosebumps in the sun!
