Perhaps ….. someone needs to put out a Milestone Cache.
So, only those cachers at 1000 can claim the cache. Hmmm, now that might make some ‘older’ cachers a little upset. Hmmm, anyone want to stir the pot?
Highly recommend: Tributary | Cache for Old Silver GC214BC
This would fit the bill for what you are suggesting, Marc, although it does involve a puzzle, and is, perhaps, just too darn tough anyway – and has an accompanying hex that will be placed on anyone spilling the beans on the solve’s coordinates……..(that’s supposed to be a challenge, in jest, but a challenge nonetheless.) Oh, and it’s winter friendly, too!

Here are two caches out on longtail point in the Bay of Green Bay

GCXHNHAnd the first one is ‘Lonely’. It’s a perfect target for Team CodeRdz!
Also, as a cross-check, when you do find Island Cache listings, check to see if they, themselves, are on any bookmark lists.
Not sure if you can, but also searching for the “boat required’ attribute should pick a bunch up as well. Would not be surprised if you have just found yourself a great opportunity to build such a list, right here. ( I smell a book deal, or at least a blog opportunity!)
Let me offer up this one: GC1C5J0 , ‘Voight Island’ in downtown Hortonville.
Congratulations, Gotta Run, on your most impressive achievement! And for showing many of us a great model on how to play the game, for the benefit of the sport. 😀
Congratulations on your great finish to ’09, CodeJunkie! And your great start to the new year (Ooops! That’s a secret!) 8)
Congratulations Giz, on your Meritorious Achievement in Geocaching!
Recently stopped by a Virtual, specifically, to pick up a TB previously left by a nice German team, but it wasn’t there…………….and we looked virtually everywhere for it….must have gone missing………. looky-see: GC4AF7
Congratulations Neon93! Feels like we spent the last six months of our lives signing cache logs that said: Neon93, Neon93, Neon93, Neon93,Neon93, Neon93, Neon93, Neon93,………………… and it really was a lot of fun!
Hope you have many more great milestones, and visit a lot of interesting new places and fun challenges along the way! 😆 😀

I took mine along to Hawaii, which has to be at least that far, if not farther. The biggest thing is to re-calibrate upon arrival, although mine was foolproof enough to tell me to do that, anyway.
A bit of a newby still, and surprised there was a need to recalibrate on going to HI, unless it was for the compass. Lat/long are still OK, yes? Can you shed some light on what is being calibrated?
Mahalo nui loa!!!
We really appreciate your congratulations here. It means a lot to us…….feels like being welcomed as part of a new family (without the in-laws!?)
We certainly could not have had ANY caching achievements without the opportunities provided by all of the excellent cache owners we’ve had the pleasure of being customers of.
We hope you see a lot of yourselves reflected back by our success – its truly another aspect of your creations; whether they take the form of caches, new friendships, or the gift of kind words.
We’ve certainly had the opportunity to learn and grow from our many encounters and experiences with ‘Best in Class” cache challenges and craft-work. Now it’s payback time! Our hope is to follow that lead, and similarly become responsible and entertaining contributors to this wonderful Kingdom of Caches.
But if we find we can’t cut it on that count, then we WILL strive to be among the best GOLDen oldies in the state!
Many, many thanks!
huffinpuffin2 😀 😆
Is it done yet???? We sure are!! All the chips are in! Time to reflect on what the heck happened, how it happened, what fun it was visiting a lot of new places, encountering new and differing challenges, and meeting new people! Was it planned? No. Is it a contest? No. It’s a game.
We had a lot of fun, and sure did not plan for a sprint at the end……..it seemed to just snowball over the last week or two. Pop! Who the heck is this Smashing Ground and where did they come from?? (Cool name…..) Hmmmmm, maybe we should try to get a couple more LCG points….but even better, put more focus on those Lonely Caches…..certainly more challenging, on balance, from what we’d been doing……and it’s fun exploring the reasons why they are lonely to begin with. WHAM! Where did JimandLinda come from? Hmmmmm! Hmmmmm! What to do? Having fun yet? OK then! Vroooom! Vroooom! Let’s do it ’til the end of November. And then? Retire. Agreed!
We think we were part of a healthy, game-inspired effort for the benefit of the Lonely Caches, the purpose of the game, and for the caching community at large. Hopefully we made a difference – the effort felt useful, and good. We certainly learned a lot in a short amount of time, found a lot of wonderful lonely caches; small lonely communities; and great and natural lonely spaces.
We also got to interact with many great cache owners and fellow cachers, all of which we sincerely want to thank!
Cache on!
Yes! A Hearty congratulations to you both! And we agree with others, that you’re caches are of the ‘Must Do’ level. We’ve found a common thread to your caches ….they all end with a WOW!

you get the points for both submissions!
So, Innocent persistence is fine 😀
But, if need or with a Therapist…OK to game the game:
Find it,
but not,
then double-find it,
for double got.
🙄Got it! Thanks!
