Hey, I wonder if I can take mine back to Gander Mt (the one I bought with the Aldi deal), then take in the Best Buy ad and get it cheaper yet??!! Now if only I had a coupon too, and maybe a rebate…then they’d OWE me money!!!

Thats funny you should say that. When I got there a young kid was actually running around with the Aldi sale info written on a scrap of paper…as if someone just tipped him off to the sale! When I came in and asked, there happened to be 3 workers behind the counter and they all looked at each other, slooowly looked at their piece of paper and then decided they HAD to give me thier sale price as they didn’t change the sign yet. Bummer for them! Good for us! Go US!

I jumped all over this one! Being a new cacher and needing a GPS desperatly….Energysaver forwarded this thread to me and like I said…I was all over it. I first found the nearest Aldi and Gander Mt. to me, turned out both were in Sheboygan within minutes of each other. I hopped in the car at 6pm, stopped at Aldi for a flyer for proof of the price, then ZOOOMED over to Gander Mt. where I caught them just MOMENTS before changing the sign on the Garmin Etrex to match Aldi. Since they hadn’t changed the sign YET, I was able to get DOUBLE the difference off the price of the unit. That came to an even $40.00! So the total cost of the unit for me came to a measly $62.99! On a minor note, being in Sheboygan county I only had to pay 5% sales tax as opposed to our 5.6%! So YES it is TRUE just call your local Gander Mt. to see if they have already changed the price BEFORE you get there!
