Congrats Rick and Matt.
When I was caching in the Leathercamp a couple years ago I saw a guy that was baiting a big female with five cubs. He had just seen them by the bait right where I had to go past to get back to the truck. He said the only tree big enough for the cubs to climb was right next to him and up they went. He had a pistol on his side so I asked him to walk with me. After about a quarter mile he headed back the other way to his truck.
Yes, parks and any other place where stealth is needed.
Thanks Zuma. I will check into those programs and see if I can figure them out.
I normally go caching by myself. If there is anyone close I usually leave and come back later. One time after replacing a cache, I turned to go back to the truck and saw a young teenager watching me. I felt really bad that it might be muggled because of me. I e-mailed the owner to explain what happened and she said not to worry about it. That’s over a year ago and it is still being found and logged. I feel better about a stealth hide if I am with someone else.
OK. Now I have another problem with the PDA. After Ground speak upgraded Geocaching.com they got rid of the PDF file. Do I have to get GSAK or Cachemate to use the PDA now? Or do I just go back to printing out all those papers again? I am not very smart when it comes to the computer stuff.lol
My wife got me a laptop for Christmas. It has vista on it and I can’t get the os to update. Guess I will have to use the old one for that.
I am new to the pda. Just bought a z22 a few months ago. It will still work with Geocaching.com right?
My wife does some traveling for work so a year and a half ago we got a NUVI 200. Two days later I got a ETREX Legend HCX for atving. Two weeks later I discovered geocaching. Those are the only units I have used.
My least favorite is the stealth caches also. I got caught putting a cache back by a young man and felt bad thinking it might come up missing because of me.
