Some of the other boards I frequent have the ability to give feedback or “pips” to others for useful, insightful or just plain funny posts and comments, and I thought this might be a fun addition to the boards here. Just floating the balloon to see if it flies…
I read your title and I thought this was about Gladys Knight and the Pips groupies….. 😳
Balloon flies fine when Diana Ross sings about it… 😯
Maybe my moniker can be Gladys Knight and the Pip 🙄

I can help with something, possibly a HOOTIE cache, handing out paperwork, the s’mores or ?. 😆 When it gets closer let me know what you need help with and what time I should get to the park.
Sorry to read that. My TB’s end up muggled-send out reinforcements they end up missing, one cache was emptied out with a scribbled note left, my red jeep may be muggled, I’m thinking of quitting geocaching and continue on with just waymarking…
“who gave you the right to think”
My red jeep wants to get to Alaska….but it may have been muggled already…in GCFDDF with 7 users watching…newbie visited right after drop…so I don’t know if someone can get it your way if it is still there. Have a safe trip.

A plastered Paris should not have been driving!!! Let her do the time.
“plastered Paris” made me think of HS art class at Nathan Hale. We could do a “bust” of her… 😳
A lot of thoughtful comments. I have a suggestion, because this topic could go on until the end of the world, like thread stealers. There is a word Appeasement. I’m sure the board has been in full discussion on the temp cache topic. I believe it may have been mentioned before by another cacher, is there a way that the board can address GC.com to create a total with and without event cache/temp caches. This way you can know your real gc.com finds vs. your temp finds at an event. Have your cake and eat it too, as I think I’ve read here also. I’ve been tettering on the fence too. I’ve decided an event is an event. It’s put as coordinates on GC.com to get you there, it’s not one giant ammo can where we can all jump in and log it as a find with a smiley and sign the log, it’s an event, although a large ammo can that we can all jump into might be an interesting cache. As a side note to the one eyed man is king…I once knew a blind king who picked up a hammer and saw. 😉

An event is intended to bring people together for a group experience. Just meeting for a huddle and then heading off in your own direction to hunt “REAL” caches you’ve not already found kind of defeats the purpose of an event.
Why even bother to drive all that way if we could just decide to all log into the chat room at the same time to view someones on-line coin collection. We could gab a bit, share some stories, and we could all head off on our own to find “REAL” caches. We could just call it a “Virtual Event.”
Great Points! I attended one event so far, and had a great time…except for one unpleasant geocacher encounter, which was resolved, and which became part of my geocaching experience. The event was so well put together and attended. If there are no rules to follow, just do what makes you feel good, until the powers that be change the rules. Que Sera Sera.
I may be able to make this. Looking forward to meeting you. Maybe I can conquer the last one of the LL series too. Thanks for sharing. 😀
He did race back in the 80’s. On his Norton at Elkhart Lake Road America, Blackhawk Farms, and the circuits involved with those venues. I have a great photo of him with Willie G. Davidson. Then he got into guns. Competition shooting. Now he’s back into motorcycles. Into Ice Racing and now motorcrossing with my husband. They just were at “The Ranch” in South Dakota with our neighbor who is friends with Peter Egan from Cycle World and a whole bunch of riders. Egan was there too, so I’m hoping to possibly see an article on their mini-vacation. I would consider our friend the spark at the end of the tunnel. Always has a good joke. Keep wishing him well and thanks for asking. Hoping to get back to caching soon…I see all of these creative caches popping up in the area.
