I use Microsoft Money 2004 for our Town business. (Part Time job=Town Treasurer-nearing the end of Tax Collection 😯 ). Extremely easy to set-up and use. I use Microsoft Money 2003 for home stuff. The programs actually came downloaded on the harddrives.
Would people travel this far to see great geographical and historical places? Yes. To get many caches in one day? No, I’m not into the numbers. To get discounts on lodging and food? Would be a good way to get people to the area. Special coin, or TB? No, that wouldn’t matter. If there were a party with food, dance and prizes? A campfire, on the beach of a lake, liquid refreshments and SMORES! How important are temporaries/permanent caches to most cachers? I enjoy both. Would WGA ever hold an event this far north? I would hope so. Please share thoughts and ideas so we can let them know what most cachers think about this. My family heads up to that area every year. Close to fall. We actually did the UP this year for the 1st time, so I would look forward to revisiting the history, nature and people in your area of the state.
I’ve been reading everyones input faithfully. Being new it is nice to read the variety of responses, concerns and interests of each candidate. Very informative.
I work out of the DA’s office and with Dept. of Justice. Maybe the board could contact Madison’s Office DOJ, they could supply the necessary info to the Sheriff’s Depts and the local PD. It may look better coming out of their office. Just a suggestion. They also have an annual meeting where someone from the board could go speak with the group, you may get some new cachers involved in the process too. 😀
Some other tips are; in Wisconsin you can search court records at Wisconsin Circuit Court Access, http://www.wcca.wicourts.gov. You can check out your neighbors, co-workers, relatives, etc., it is just an informational tool. Also national sex offender registry, http://www.familywatchdog.us. For information on who is in the area you live in or are geocaching at, etc. Florida may have the same court access website. I tried to Google but I don’t know what county you will be going too. Just extra tools to make you feel safe. Safe Travels.
I had the urge to resurrect this forum in honor of the “Ol’lady….standing still”, and I can’t see a project of Jeremy’s unfinished.
On the 12th Day of the Gauntlet Geocaching gave to me, 12 more miles of hiking, 11 muggles passing, 10 toes a-blistering, 9 cachers laughing, 8 hills a-climbing, 7 rivers a-crossing, 6 sense a-dventuring, 5 muggled green jeeps, 4 minutes B4 sunset, 3 hollow logs, 2 wet hiking boots and a dimly lit light saber. Happy Trails in the New Year!Yes. Any Strangers Out There? I think that is what the adventure is all about. That and well placed caches in the woods, along rivers, up hills…near historic and fun sites… P.S. Wish I would have seen your email about Milwaukee earlier, my daughter and her boyfriend rent near the Lakefront. They just started geocaching over the holidays and probably would have enjoyed a new experience with someone daring to meet up with strangers.

PS Jeremy, Santa left a present under our tree for U, it hopes to make it to a cache in the Milwaukee area over the weekend… 😉Peace on Earth and Happy Caching To You In The New Year!
I don’t know how to use that cut and paste feature, someone will have to explain to me how to do it, but the photo contest starts Jan. 1, it is by quarter, 1st quarter is FUN. And…I was thinking of including a photo of my nephew who has diabetes, but I don’t know if we can do that or not. If someone knows, let me know. I was going to include it in a zip lock bag or seal photo and put hole through and attach on chain with blue ring. Thanks for any information shared.
