I like online jigsaw puzzles!
I’m addicted to online jigsaw puzzles. Some days I completely neglect my other chores, ( being retired I’m sometimes not quite sure what those are) and just do jigsaw puzzles.
I agree, Mr Moderator, congratulations, nice line.
5.5″ of craphas here in the hills overlooking East Sandland.
Again…nothing here
Heading down the road to the Padre Island National Seashore later this morning for some hiking and birdwatching. Padre Island, isn’t that where all the people go missing? I was keeping track of a TB down in that part of the world a long time ago and it went missing. I surmised that someone picked it up and they both disappeared just like that…poof..

I’m wondering if this will be the last to post for today. It’s okay if it’s not, because we all got our souvenirs for the weekend.
A while ago GC.com asked how they could make geocaching better. In reply I suggested that they could stop introducing extraneous crap like virtual souvenirs.
Guess we know how well the frog listens to your suggestions
Yeah I get that a lot.

The lower, steeper part of my driveway is glare ice and will probably need a dash of salt. the flatter part is covered with a mix of ice, slush, and rain, I pushed a bit of the slush off to help the rain drain away, no snow to add to the mess…..yet.
We have between 3″ and 3.5″ of craphas here in East of Sandland at 7:30 am. The weather radar shows it not snowing here but my non-radar eyes see that it clearly is.
I just went out and started scraping the half inch of craphas off of the ice on my drive. I don’t know why it feels so cold out, a week ago I would been rejoicing in the 20 deg. raise in the temperature.
After lunch today I threw some birdseed out around a spruce in my front yard. It was mainly for the Juncos that pick around in the snow there but when I looked a while ago I spotted the usual Juncos but also a Rufous Sided Towhee. I didn’t think they were winter birds but a little extra color is always welcome these days.
Twice as warm here as yesterday at this time. . . .-9 deg.
I had -15 at 5AM, it dropped to -18 at 7AM, and climbed all the way up to a high of -1 in the heat of the day this afternoon.
I remember listening to the Packers back when their QB was Tobin Rote. Matchups against the likes of Johnny Unitas left little joy in packerland in those days either.
You gotta love weather radar. Yesterday it showed us getting snow almost all day and we didn’t get a flake.
This morning it shows us being clear and we’ve been getting a very light snow for an hour, granted it’s not amounting to anything.
Yesterday morning I blew the dusting of craphas that we got off my driveway with my little battery powered leaf blower. In the afternoon we got an additional 1/2″, I used a shovel for that. I was surprised to see the town’s big Oshkosh plow out on my road this morning, must be making a little Christmas money.
